I saw a post by someone who isnโ€™t a resident of Nigeria and who, I believe, is now a citizen of a foreign country. That person said that even if Peter doesnโ€™t win, theyโ€™re happy that Peter Obi never became the ADCโ€™s vice-presidential candidate. I smiled and laughed. I am not here to say who should or shouldnโ€™t be the vice-presidential candidate. It doesnโ€™t really concern me any more. I am not a member of the ADC, and that stage has passed. But what Iโ€™m going to say, as a sort of piece of advice, is that for whoever, particularly for the South-East region, you might not like Obi, or you might like him; either way, one thing he did in the last election was that he carved out a niche for himself. He created a conversation about an Igbo presidency, which made sense. I didnโ€™t support him in the last election because i didnโ€™t believe he was going to get the number of votes he pulled, but he surprised a lot of us. However, the reality today is that, especially when you look at the campaign councils of the NDC, it looks ludicrous, as i doubt it was well thought out. Personally, i feel it is high time we in the South-East started playing politics that benefits our region. We supported Peter Obi very well, even when he ran as a vice-presidential candidate. We have given him massive love and support, but if you ask me, I might be insulted; some people might call me names, which is fine. I would say that the South-East should give 25% to the three main political parties, or even four. Let us play pragmatic politics so that, at the end of the day, whoever wins will benefit us as a people. Strategically, what use is it to go out and vote for one person again, only for that person not to win, and then they say, โ€˜Oh, weโ€™re not ready to play politics,โ€™ blah, blah, blah, blah, blah? So why donโ€™t we play this politics once and for all, like the South-west normally does? Every serious presidential candidate from any region on the ballot gets something from the South-west. But in this cycle, I donโ€™t know if it will be the same. In the past, you would at least see a good number of people vote for a candidate from that region. It is quite sad that our region hasnโ€™t realised its full potential. But I pray that someday they realise that we need to take politics seriously. We canโ€™t flourish only in business; we also need to flourish in politics.

My people and ego tripping. "We are the most developed region in Nigeria." How? Development is not building fine houses in the village. What infrastructure do we have? How many jobs do we create? why do our people keep migrating in droves? We need a united Nigeria more.

The most developed because you have fine houses in your village that you visit once every year. What is development without infrastructure? How many jobs do we have in the southeast? Go check the salary structure of those few jobs. We keep deceiving ourselves.
I want you to know beyond the call of marginalisation, no part of Nigeria is developed more than South Eastern Nigeria . No part of Nigeria is more Educated than the South Eastern Nigeria. And its that education that is fuelling our political decisions. You can't attend the level of education we have attained in S/East and yet expect us to queue behind people who we are more Educated than to lead us. Have you asked why Nigeria is whobling and fumbling as a country? Looked down by other nations? Its your political decision that provide those lenses. Let me ask you, can you compare these 12yrs of locust apc with the years of pdp? Atleast our institutions were working. Directors of NBC were appointed in house by the pdp presidency. But right now, Directors of Nigerian Broadcasting Coperation are members of apc, Directors of Voice of Nigeria are members of apc, the judiciary are now standing on the mandate. The Lagislature is now extended arm of Tinubu led Executives. Is that how to govern a country? What are the numbers saying on development indices of Nigeria? Are we have multi dimensional poverty? Why are your micro n macro policy numbers are showing green while the people are getting poorer? Your political decisions matters. Don't follow multitude to commit evil, that is what we do in S/East. We don't follow the rest of Nigeria to make bad political choices just because we wono play politics. Despite our political decisions, south east Nigeria has the highest per capital income. South east has least poverty numbers. Nobody de poor for my family. I just want Nigeria to work.

1. Itโ€™s an unwritten rule across the two major political parties. 2. 3 sub regions have not produced Presidents since 1999 ; North East, North Central and South East. The first two have NEVER even produced any since 1960. So do the maths yourself. 3. Even if zoning is out of the question, do you think SE still stand a single chance without consolidating properly??? SW is the powerhouse of the South as NW is for the North. If they want to be magnanimous, theyโ€™ll pitch tents with the SS whoโ€™s more politically loyal and strategic. Theyโ€™re more politically relevant than SE. They have more numbers.

In Igbo land, Ifeajuna will be a coward and Ojukwu will be a hero. In Igbo land, Nnamdi Kanu will be a hero and so will Simon Ekpa. In Igbo land, Peter Obi will be a hero. He will be placed above Zik. In Igbo land, Okonkwo of Things Fall Apart will be a hero and not his son. What do all these heroes share in common? They all failed in their pursuit of vainglory. There is something wrong with our value systems. The last civilization who had this kind of value systems were the Vikings and they failed. They have since moved on to being rational, evolving with the world, being more strategic and less emotional about the outcomes they want. Igbos want to remain stuck in the 16th century. When we wake up is our morning.
Regardless of the outcome of the 2027 presidential election, I will always be proud of Peter Obi for refusing to bow to pressure to become Atikuโ€™s running mate. That resolve alone has earned my lasting respect. He will forever be my GOAT.

I do not support Tinubu because he is the incumbent. No, I am supporting him because I have seen the right steps he is taking to take the country to glory, which is very visible to the rational mind My wish and goal is for Nigeria to be better, not to make Obi president.
Life is short and goes swiftly. Even if the majority of you decide to reinforce failure,I won't. Go to @DONJAZZY page and see thousands of Nigerians screaming for help . You think all of them enjoy begging ? You think poverty headquartered in Nigeria is a thing of pride ?

No one region can make themselves president unless there is legislation regarding a rotational presidency. The President Tinubu you see today endured a lot of insults under the Buhari administration. The Southwest also endured to get what they are enjoying today.

it is too early to be in this stage of grief Peter Obi messed up big time due to his despeation and deceitful nature in 2023 and 2027 - he had no electoral pathway to victory in 2023 and 2027 Your post is sadly a loser's consolation talk

Anyway, Iโ€™m not playing national politics for now. Whatever happens, we focus on strengthening our resolve as a people for better governance locally, while also building and sustaining the bridges which have been built

The impact of certain actions is โ€œyes we know you are building bridges, but your people donโ€™t like usโ€. Itโ€™s such a dangerous position to be in when you play national politics.

No dey ever allow person like Uche whine you sha. A lot of people pushed IPOB narrative for such a long time. For those who know me, Iโ€™m more pro-igbo than any of those handles. How do we develop alaigbo? Thatโ€™s the question. Then how do we maintain bridges which have been built. Anyway, some of you successfully burnt the bridges with your brash arrogance.

Did you read where I wrote rotation anywhere? Tinubu will handover to a northerner, not Obi.
Which power is even returning to North? If Atiku could contest in 2023 and had 6m votes after 8 years of Buhari, a Fulani man like him. It means there's no rotation anywhere. I will be voting SM too (Inshaa-Allah) if he contest again in 2031 or another Yoruba candidate.

Ayo Fayose his done his part. Isaac Fayose is doing his own part. Obi fell off big time.

This is not even an argument for any reasonable person. But, Fayose was a major advocate for Obi to have left the ADC.

Tinubu 's pathway to reelection is Middle Belt and South South. The political leaders of both regions will deliver for Tinubu in 2027. I will be vindicated in January

This is a very important question that the igbos need to answer......they keep on attacking Atiku as if he's their problem. Most are bent on seeing Atiku loss than Obi winning. Forgetting that Atiku is jst an individual compared to what the igbos are fighting for.

Peter Obi should have stayed out of the 2027 election for the interest of the Southeast. Either way, it would have been a two-horse race. The Southeast would have built a stake with our vote in the ADC or APC, paving the way for future negotiation.
