Today, more than 40 CenterPoint Energy employees volunteered at the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival's Special Kids Day, where students with special needs from Evansville-area schools get the festival all to themselves. Our team helped with rides and games, shared lunch with the kids and made sure everyone had a day to remember. Many of our volunteers come back year after year to team up with the same students and schools, and that's what makes this tradition so special. Thank you to the West Side Nut Club for hosting such a fun, meaningful day for these students! 🎡

Extreme heat is in the forecast and the safety of our Hoosier customers comes first. 🌡️ CenterPoint Energy has paused electric disconnections for nonpayment for all Indiana electric residential customers. We’re monitoring conditions closely this week and will keep the pause in place as needed. Here are some important reminders to stay safe: • Pull down shades and avoid using your oven to help reduce the temperature in your home • If air conditioning is not available in your home, please find a local cooling center • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, and watch for signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke like heavy sweating, nausea and muscle cramps • If you’re outside, find shade and wear a hat to protect your face • Please check on family members, older adults and neighbors who may be vulnerable to high temperatures For more preparedness and safety tips, visit CenterPointEnergy.com/Action….

CenterPoint Energy Indiana teams are on the road to Northwest Indiana, answering @NIPSCO's call to help assess damage following this week's storms. In January 2025, when ice brought down power lines across southwestern Indiana, our utility partners stepped in to help restore service safely and as quickly as possible. We're proud to return the favor. Thank you to the team members who packed a bag, left home and headed north to help fellow Hoosiers recover and rebuild.
