Mexico says Texas has no authority to claim nine islands in the Rio Grande.
Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham announced the state is claiming the islands, about 66 acres mostly in Starr County, so U.S. and Texas law enforcement can patrol them. Mexico's Foreign Ministry responded that a 1970 treaty sets the border and only the two federal governments can change it.
Cartel smugglers have used islands in that stretch for years. In 2025, gunmen fired at U.S. law enforcement from one near Fronton, Texas, then escaped south. Authorities later found a narco camp there.

First date idea: I drink 11 beers at chili’s, she has a salad and a water and then blows into the ignition interlock device so my truck will start
The process that they are “due” is
-Are you here illegally
-Where did you come from because you’re getting shipped back.
“Due process” is not a noun. My due process as an American citizen is not the same as an illegals.
Get them all out.
“Deportation abuses” lmao stfu
I’m going to say something that many of you are not going to like. What else is new.
I don’t want Dems to get control of Congress. But if they do, I hope that they have full oversight hearings on serial deportation abuses that have occurred under Trump 2.0.
If you want to unfollow me for having a problem with how this has come down, knock yourself out. IDGAF.

Young people feel poorer due to inflation and the fact that immigrants are stealing their future
Ram Chhetri came to the US as a refugee, but this might be worst day of his life: It's the moment he realizes the $80k-$160k/year salary he's bilked from Medicaid for no-show work is coming to an end because @realdailywire caught the truth on camera.
We conducted months of surveillance that shows why "home care aide" is now the *most common job* in states like NY, CA, MN, and PA: Because a large part of those jobs are unambiguous Medicaid fraud.
Thanks to home care, Bhutanese refugees now make more money than actual PA families. The state doesn't just look the other way, but helps them get away with it. Converting federal health dollars into a universal basic income for certain communities relieves the financial burden they place on the state.
The scammers easily deceive the feds' woefully broken monitoring system. You'll see Ram pull into a driveway for 2 minutes in the morning, then 2 minutes in the evening. He clocks in and out of his shift from the right place, and the GPS system doesn't notice that he goes home in between.
$20 an hour doesn't sound like much, but at 77 hours a week, it's $80k–and it's easy to bill huge hours when you don't actually have to work them. And that's just for the low-level guys in this scheme.

Remember, Halloween isn’t until tomorrow. If you go out tonight and see a vampire or skeleton, you shoot them with a gun.
Wouldn’t wish unemployment on anyone under the age of 35 rn. It’s brutal out there
This is such a bleak story about what it's like to try to land a job right now. nytimes.com/interactive/2026…
From Annie Sey: The Sey family would like to thank our brothers and sisters from across the world who have sent messages, offered prayers, and supported us financially through this very difficult time. We sincerely believed we were following the legal process, which we continue to respect. Sadly, Samuel was removed from the U.S. and is in Canada as of today, October 30. Although this has been devastating to our family and the outcome is not what we had hoped, we will trust God’s sovereign plan and work to reunite our family.

EXCLUSIVE: University Hockey Captain Killed in Wrong Way Collision With Twice-Deported Mexican Illegal in Sanctuary Connecticut
A beloved member of the University of New Haven community was killed in a head-on collision with a driver who is in the U.S. illegally, federal authorities have confirmed with Border Hawk.
The tragedy unfolded at around 11:45 p.m. on Oct. 16 in North Haven, Connecticut.
Ryan O’Shea, 21, was driving southbound on Interstate 91 when a pickup truck traveling in the wrong direction slammed into his Honda Accord, causing his vehicle to strike two SUVs, Connecticut State Police (CSP) explained in an accident summary.
O’Shea, who was on his way back to campus after playing in a hockey game, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck, who suffered “serious life-threatening injuries,” was identified as 31-year-old Guillermo Carmona-Lopez, a resident of Bridgeport, Connecticut.
“In May 2013, Border Patrol arrested Carmona-Lopez, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, after he illegally entered the country. Carmona-Lopez was issued an expedited removal and was removed from the country,” the Department of Homeland Security told us.
“He then illegally reentered the country near the Rio Grande Valley after being removed—a felony—and was once again arrested by Border Patrol in May 2013. Carmona-Lopez was issued a final order of removal on May 30, 2013. He then reentered the country at an unknown time and place.”
It is currently unclear if Carmona-Lopez will face charges in connection with the crash.
A resident of Stony Point, New York, O’Shea served as senior assistant captain of the university’s club hockey team and also chapter president of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.
He was studying criminal justice with a concentration in police science and aspired to work for the New York Police Department.
“Ryan was not only a great leader, but he was a caring friend to anyone around him. He always knew how to light up a room and make people laugh, no matter the time. Ryan’s leadership and the memories he has made will never be forgotten,” Kappa Sigma wrote in an Instagram post memorializing O’Shea.
Ryan’s sisters said he “always found a way to make everything positive.”
“He was always trying to go out of the way to help others and include them in new spaces if they didn’t know anyone,” Kiera O’Shea stated.
Two memorial scholarships have been established in Ryan O’Shea’s name. Contributions can be made here.
We contacted CSP to request more information on this investigation and Carmona-Lopez’s current condition and will provide updates if they become available.
