I wasn’t sure if I had the strength nor the will to sum up exactly what I feel in this moment as we now live in a world without the one and only, Dolly Parton.
So, I decided to make a substack and did the best I could.

Somebody go back and tell 16-year-old Carly, working at Dollywood, that one day she’d be one of 29 artists getting to honor @DollyParton’s life and legacy. 🥹🤍
Feeling so incredibly honored and thankful. Thank you @CountryMusic for this moment, thank you to my new bestie @KChenoweth for singing with me, and thank you, Dolly, for showing me the way. 🦋🤍

37 years ago, @DollyParton performed “He’s Alive” on the 1989 CMA Awards. Tonight, her friend @reba lends her voice to this powerful tribute.
Sending love and light to family, friends, and fans of Mr. @johnanderson, who has passed away today.
He leaves behind hit songs like “Seminole Wind”, “Money In the Bank”, “Straight Tequila Night”, “Swingin’” and more.
Rest In Peace, John Anderson

With Dolly reigning from heaven, Reba is now the Queen of Country Music reigning here on earth 🩷
Carrie Underwood ends the night with “I Will Always Love You”. All presenters & performers joined Carrie for the final chorus.
Loved seeing everyone hugging each other as the credits rolled, especially seeing Carrie and Reba hug moments after the song ends. #DollyTribute
If you aren’t familiar with @sierrahull , whose performing with @BradPaisley right now, she’s a bluegrass superstar who is and has been mentored by Alison Krauss. #DollyTribute
Always loved “When I Get Where I’m Going”.
Carol Burnett, a living legend who has had to say goodbye to so many friends in the last few months including Dolly… #DollyTribute so nice to see her come out of on-camera retirement to share that speech about Dolly.
Hearing audio of Dolly singing Butterfly right now as Zac Brown is performing the song live hurts so much.
Man…I miss you Dolly! #DollyTribute
What a showstopping performance by @Reba! Dolly would be so proud and would absolutely love this! #DollyTribute
The reigning Queen @reba McEntire with the Belmont University Choir, performing “He’s Alive”! #DollyTribute
Love LBT but I’m shocked they didn’t get Lainey and Reba to perform “Light of a Clear Blue Morning” considering it’s the last recorded collab they did with Dolly, which was released earlier this year with Queen Latifah and Miley Cyrus featured on the song.

#Reba’s opening remarks were so good. Funny, emotional, articulate. No doubt she loved her friend.
