Continuing to dive into my Lean 4 proof of the #SeymourSecondNeighborhoodConjecture. Instead of searching for a Seymour vertex, I assumed all vertices are non-Seymour, a minimum counterexample environment (MCE). #math #maths #graphtheory #cs #algorithms

The first case I dived into was no back arcs. Here, the MCE neighborhoods can be calculated easily by a formula (δ - k + 1) where δ is the minimum out-degree and k is the distance.

With this formula calculated for the neighborhood sizes, we can now bound interior out-degree to be exactly equal to k and say that extra exterior neighbors lead to parents being Seymour vertices. So a node has exactly δ-k exterior neighbors.

Most researchers working on this problem use shortest paths to distinguish first and second neighborhoods. BFS extends this to the entire graph. In addition, when combined with lexicographic ordering it becomes a well ordering which is powerful.

Let's go over a terminology project for the #SeymourSecondNeighborhoodConjecture. It asks for a node whose second neighborhood is at least at large as it's first. Node and edge terms allow for the #SeymourDiamond #graphTheory #math #cs alphaxiv.org/abs/2501.00614

To fix this, my new terminology works in a minimum counterexample environment, and uses the breadth first search algorithm to give nice coordinates (distance, lexicographic id). Edge is also partitioned into interior and exterior neighbors.

I have a working lean 4 version of the proof on my GitHub site github.com/cgcharles7/ssnc/t… This proof finds a path to the Seymour Vertex and guarantees a maximal set of Seymour vertices instead of just one
20
Why am I not allowed to post about my solution to the Seymour second neighborhood conjecture? I have solved this Conjecture for 22 months and it's like the world won't listen to me. I Jane a lean file and nobody will let me talk about it @leanprover

Osi Umenyiora reveals how the Giants exposed “the greatest quarterback ever, supposedly,” Tom Brady, by decoding his snap count before Super Bowl XLII Umenyiora says he noticed Brady pointing at a specific defender before signaling the center to snap the ball. After studying game footage for a week, he became convinced the pattern was consistent and shared his discovery with the entire Giants defense. That preparation gave New York’s defensive line a crucial advantage, helping them sack Brady five times and hit him around 20 times in the upset victory over the previously undefeated Patriots. Umenyiora says the Giants entered the game believing they could win because they had uncovered something their opponents did not know they had figured out.

Terry Robiskie says as an NFL head coach he once received a message from his team's owner telling him not to let a player on his team earn his $300,000 contract bonus for total receptions, and says instead of listening to the owner he deliberately called plays to help that player reach the incentive “Larry Centers was our fullback, and your daddy would always feature him. Your daddy made sure Larry Centers caught six, seven balls a game. He was the best at getting balls in the right hands of the right people.” “I'll never forget it. We were playing Arizona, which was Larry's old team. Larry came to my office, sat down at my desk, and said, ‘Coach, you know, I didn't make that much money this year on my salary. But I need six catches in this game.’” “And Norv would always get him seven, nine catches. He said, ‘I need six catches in this game. If I get those six catches, man, I got a $300,000 bonus.’ And I turned and looked at him. I said, ‘Three hundred? Are you crazy? I don't make but $140,000. I'm the head coach!’” “He said, ‘Coach, man, I gotta get these six catches for this $300,000, man. I'll give you a thousand.’ I said, ‘Okay, good. Give me a thousand!’ But right then, that guy wanted to know, ‘Coach, do you really care about me?’ You know what I mean? And I know that I got a little note from the owner of that team saying, ‘Don't let that guy get them six catches.’” “I threw him seven balls in the first quarter. I made sure he got them. I never got my thousand dollars from him. I gotta get my thousand! But I made sure he had his incentive. And I told the owner, ‘If you don't want him to make that incentive, don't put it in his contract, because I'm the wrong guy.’ I'm the wrong guy.”

Gruden was the best judge of talent we've had. I don't want him coaching. I want him in the front office as GM
I liked Jay Gruden as an offensive mind. I was there. Receivers were running wide open. But he couldn't care less about the defense. He also didn't have a viable GM or Owner. He also made some dumb mistakes too.

I saw it happening and couldn't believe it
I didn’t believe it until I looked it up. From the moment the Commanders went up by 14pts with 11:05 left in the 4th quarter, they ran the ball 1 time for the rest of the game until OT. Then they ran it twice in OT. Not a single carry went to Bill who was averaging 8ypc

Man, go wizards!
— Daronte Jones gave up a 14-point lead. — Daronte Jones had his secondary playing 10+ yards off the ball in the REDZONE on 4th & 7. — saw fit to drop DARON PAYN....... nvm.

I know the defense got the fumblen and the refs don't get off the hook for what they did. But the defense just let them come back from down 14 points, twice.
I know Dan Quinn, Jayden Daniels and David Blough are taking this heat but don’t let Adam Peters off the hook he has put together a bottom 10 roster in the NFL & has had horrible drafts.

That's the most embarrassing tie
