Matthew Horner @Matt_Horner2027 has been giving Independence a spark with his arm, his poise, and the way he commands the offense. He stands tall in the pocket, sees where his receivers can break free, and puts the ball in their path before the opening closes. When a play pushes him outside the pocket, he can still deliver without losing his touch. That mix of timing and arm strength makes him dangerous from more than one spot on the field. Through six games, Matthew ranks seventh in Tennessee with 1,383 passing yards. He has completed 100/169 throws for 15 touchdowns and just 2 interceptions, averaging 230.5 yards per game with a 110 QB rating. He can drive a pass into a tight window or give a receiver room to make a play after the catch, keeping the Eagles’ attack moving in different ways. Independence got off to a slow start, but the Eagles have battled back to 3-3 and are coming on strong. Matthew’s command has helped them find their rhythm, and his production gives the team a chance to keep pushing as the season moves forward. There's plenty of football left, and the way he's been playing gives Independence a strong reason to believe its best stretch is still ahead. @CSmithScout @CoaLBViking
