Jan 18, 2027 is the hard deadline for the GENIUS Act.
Until then, no stablecoin (including USDC) is legally “permitted.” Banks and other US regulated firms can’t treat them as cash or clean collateral — they get hit with capital penalties and high-risk treatment. That forces institutions to constantly convert USDC back to USD (and vice versa), adding friction and cost.
After the date (once issuers like Circle get OCC approval), permitted stablecoins can be used as compliant cash equivalents. Institutions can hold and settle in USDC directly without constant conversions, which is when institutional tokenization can actually scale instead of staying stuck in pilots.
President Trump fundamentally transformed the future of finance with the signing of the GENIUS Act last year.
Today, U.S. Treasury’s @USOCC took a critical step toward implementing this historic legislation with the release of a final rule that delivers a federal framework for payment stablecoins that further cements American dominance in digital assets.
The GENIUS Act marks a watershed moment in American finance, further cementing the United States as the crypto capital of the world. Just as President Abraham Lincoln’s National Currency Act of 1863 established a national framework for bank-issued currency, the GENIUS Act establishes a federal framework for payment stablecoins in the digital age.
The @USOCC's final rule carries that landmark legislation forward, providing a clear, practical foundation for private-sector innovation, competition, and American leadership in digital assets.

Native liquidity RWAs
Scale mode: incoming 👀
USTX brings native dollar liquidity to tx
Vault opportunities. (my personal favorite)
One thing people don't realize, now that we have NATIVE DOLLAR LIQUIDITY, that means programmability, aka USTX into the NATIVE DEX. 😉
USTX is live. Now we build on it.
Yesterday’s launch brings another piece of our tokenization vision to life.
Wallet ✅
Native liquidity ✅
RWAs & scale mode: incoming 🚀
Issued by @brale_xyz, USTX brings native dollar liquidity to tx - our next step in building TVL and a settlement layer for tokenized stocks and other RWAs.
The opportunity is substantial: roughly $300 billion in stablecoins today, with trillions projected in the next few years.
We’re building tx to compete for that capital.
Our plans include USTX integrations and listings, vault opportunities, and additional user rewards. We also plan to support more chains and stablecoins, giving capital more ways into the tx ecosystem. USTX will continue to evolve and grow, serving as the foundation for everything to come.
These pieces are coming together with one goal: make tx a destination for capital and the assets people want to own.

Coming soon: Tradecraft ATS.
Texture Capital and Obsidian Systems are building the first U.S.-regulated trading platform for tokenized securities on the Canton Network.¹
Canton already has issuance and settlement. Now it needs a regulated place to trade. Tradecraft ATS is being built to be that venue:
- A continuous central limit order book, with a lit best bid and best ask
- Atomic settlement against USDCx: the security and the cash move together in one on-chain transaction
- Self-custody: securities and stablecoins stay in subscribers' own wallets until the point of execution
- Tokenized equity, debt and fund interests
Operated by Texture Capital Inc., member FINRA.
Powered by Tradecraft.
Conversations are starting now:
- Investors: request early access
- Issuers: apply to be among the first securities listed for secondary trading
- Partners (brokers, wallet infrastructure and service providers): get in touch
Contact: [email protected]
¹ Internal analysis as of October 12, 2026.
Tradecraft ATS has not yet launched. Access is subject to onboarding, eligibility review and approval by Texture Capital Inc., member FINRA. Tokenized securities are speculative, may be illiquid and involve risk, including loss of the entire investment. Blockchain is a new technology, unproven in financial markets, and may introduce new risks such as smart-contract risk.

🧵👇 The consensus view is that stablecoin liquidity is leaving Osmosis. My read: it's a structural reset. Emerging institutional dollars like USTX and RLUSD need a zero-inflation, secure IBC venue to earn routing share. Here is how Osmosis is re-engineering its pipes to capture that flow:
tx:native
ISO 20022 compliant 🧐
The hidden architecture is locking into place. This BBVA/Santander update links directly into the U.S. banking framework via Webster Bank and Texture Capital.
In August 2026, global banking giant Santander (a key Ripple partner) swallowed Webster Financial for $12.3B, anchoring an institutional blockchain ally to a major U.S. balance sheet.
Crucially, Webster Bank is an investor in Texture Capital, which is building out the SoloTex tokenization platform on the tx:native network. By also operating a validator node on the Canton Network, Texture quietly bridges these asset layers straight into the DTCC's tokenization platform.
The roots are unifying. #MarketStructure
🚨 HUGE: Ripple Prime joins 50+ firms helping shape DTCC’s tokenization service launching this month.
DTCC’s depository subsidiary holds and services $114 TRILLION in securities, placing the initiative at the heart of traditional finance.
The service aims to bring eligible securities onchain, enabling faster settlement and more efficient collateral transfers.
Limited production trades were completed in July, paving the way for the planned October rollout.
6/ The yield trade-off: Stakers lose minted rewards and lean entirely on fee revenue. Osmosis says the burn makes supply shrink ~2% a year; on the last 30 days of fees, my math is closer to 1–1.4%. Real yield now depends on trading volume, not token printing.
14/ Timelines to watch:
Oct 20: end-issuance proposal targeted for on-chain submission (result ~Oct 25)
Oct 24: ~40.5k OSMO bOSMO bug compensation to 1,037 holders
Dec 7: USDY holders' exit deadline
Jan 12, 2027: Full pause of USDC on Noble
