A story with implications beyond just little Britain it seems.
Lost to history until this year.
Because some bugger has uploaded it to YouTube.

A couple of years early he'd released a pop record. Entirely self-made and self-produced. With minimal promotion it only sold a hundred or so copies locally. But he had a minor celebrity as a result.
A copy ended up in circulation amongst the music teachers who got every class to listen and critique it.
School reunion groups on Facebook reminisced about it but the record itself remained lost to history, save for its entry on Discogs.

Way way back in the summer of 1986 we got a new PE teacher at school. Local chap called Marcus Hill. He was essentially a temp, a short term hire for the summer term to replace a departed colleague and essentially filling time before he went to a new job at a private school in September.
All the girls swooned over him. He was young, bleached blonde, rippped muscles and blessed with a North Yorkshire attitude, being a local Harrogate boy.
He also had a claim to fame.
I have this theory that everything ends up on the internet eventually.
Events this week showed this theory to be increasingly valid.
Something genuinely unheard for over 40 years is now available for everyone to hear.

I don't follow people I don't like, I don't watch stories of people I don't like and I don't interact with people I don't like. Y'all got this weird ass obsession with keeping up with mfs you don't like and I find that soo strange!

Manchester United brought so much pain and misery to my childhood. I could never imagine they would become such a potent source of joy and laughter in my adulthood.

NHP and LLBS before it date to modern eyes but at the time they were actually truly revolutionary, testing out what you could do with the medium of television.
But Edmonds needed a producer who 'got' him. The two Mikes did, Hurll and Leggo. House Party's jumping of the shark can be traced to the 96 series when the production team switched and none of their new ideas worked.

Hush now, like everyone else I think you are lovely. But I'm not here to be a creep, so there isn't the opportunity to say it.
