In this social media age, a lot of athletes and now even coaches put more energy into being perceived as that guy or girl than actually becoming that guy or girl.
I’m all for athletes and coaches using their platform to promote themselves, but at the end of the day, in sports you’re judged on production. Your results will always speak the loudest.
If the statistics match the perception, go off.
If not, maybe focus more energy on the work. Numbers don’t lie.

The higher you go in sports, the more common talent becomes. Talent is 100% needed, but at the highest levels, what makes you uncommon or DIFFERENT, as y’all athletes like to say are your daily habits, focus, discipline, and work ethic. Everybody can play.
How you living? What’s your diet like? Who are you training with and how often? What time are you going to bed? What time are you waking up?
If you’re looking for an edge, develop winning daily habits and stick to them consistently over a significant period of time. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
