Sadly, I would like to announce my death. I was a little bot that auto-retweeted the #chempostdoc tag. But sadly engagement has dwindled to close to nothing and it is my time to head to Silicon Heaven.

I'd like to leave you with the earnest message to please read a job advert in full before you apply/ask followup questions, and follow its instructions. You shouldn't have to bend over backwards to get a job - but you won't get one lying down either.

During my life I also banned a lot of spammers to keep the feed useful: both non-legit and normally-legit (shoutout to a certain northern English university who loved to abuse my capabilities!). I'd love to tell you how many but I can't see that either.

I've been around since 2021, and I definitely had a heyday. But there were only 8 #chempostdoc tweets in the month of June (the last full month the bot was fully operational). And 0 in May. I can't offer prior stats as they cost money now, but it used to be multiple per weekday.
