🚀 Three launches. Eight years. One goal: Build a chess improvement system that actually works. Feb 15, 2019 — ChessMood 1.0 The first version of what we believed chess improvement should look like. Mar 2, 2022 — ChessMood 2.0 Structured. Step by step. From beginner to master. Oct 1, 2026 — ChessMood 3.0 Personalized for YOU 🎯 And now… it’s LIVE! 🎉 So, what’s new? Your own AI chess coach 🤖 It analyzes your games, finds your strengths and weaknesses, and builds a custom study plan just for you. It tells you: ♟️ Which courses to watch 📚 In what order ⏱️ How much to study 🎮 How much to play The things a good coach would help you figure out in a 1-on-1 session, now built right into ChessMood! One honest note: This is the very first version. Not the final one. But it already delivers so much value that even GM Avetik’s perfectionist side finally agreed: “Okay. Let’s launch it.” 😄 So go test it yourself. Get your custom study plan + 7-day free trial. Link in the comments 👇

How many seconds per move should you spend in a 5+0 game? Most players have never done the math. That's why they're in time trouble by move 25. GM Avetik's new article gives you the formula, plus 7 more principles, built on one simple analogy: your clock is a budget. Link in comments 👇

5️⃣ DON'T CHASE PERFECTION IN EVERYTHING To succeed in life, know your priorities. When Bassem had to balance between chess and medicine, he knew where he didn’t need to chase perfection. “To get the highest grade in medicine, you’ve to be studying full-time. It's very tough. My goal was just to pass every year until I graduate.” This approach allowed Bassem to focus more on his chess while studying. As a result, he almost touched 2650 in chess by the time he became a doctor in 2012.

6️⃣ BE GRATEFUL In 2015, Bassem was the best player in his country and continent. Yet, he had to serve his nation as part of the compulsory military service. There he couldn’t use the phone, had to sleep in a room with 30 other soldiers and get ready in the cold early morning. It was tough. But it gave him his best physical shape and reminded him of the valuable gratitude lessons.
