I've been working in the creative industries for over 18 years and one thing I did for a big chunk of it was undervalue the importance of taking my credits. For example, I've produced on A LOT of films that I didn't take credit for, I even once signed a piece of paper to say I wouldn't talk about my producing on the project so that someone else got the main credit. I've done the same in editing and development as well. I got money (essentially paid off) that's what I needed at the time, hell I'll always need that BUT we all need to fight for credits. It's what people look at, at the end of the day. No one sees you working 24 hrs a day on something, grinding away, they just see the credits. Then on the other end of the scale there are people taking credits for doing nothing because they know how important they are. I know people already know this and I regret not doing so but fight for your credits. You deserve them and don't let people ride a wave they didn't work for.
