Over the next month, voters will cast ballots for 20 candidates for the Chicago Board of Education. A separate ballot will be cast for president of the Board.
These elections will determine the future of our schools and impact the direction of Chicago.
To leave the voting booth without voting in BOE elections is handing control of the BOE back to the CTU.
By sweeping the CTU from the BOE on November 3rd, and replacing them with independent-minded candidates, we can restore CPS to centers of learning and rein in spending.
Please use this guide when you vote for Board elections.
Listen to Ald. Anthony Beale explain the consequences of @ChicagosMayor's proposed Head Tax:
"Everything this mayor puts forward are business killers. There is nothing in there where he is trying to cultivate business to create jobs and opportunity."
Does @ChicagosMayor realize how ridiculous he looks here?

Medicare for All is socialized medicine dressed up as compassion.
The warning label is clear: higher taxes on working families, longer ER wait times, fewer specialists, less competition and Washington bureaucrats gaining more control over your healthcare.

Conservatives believe patients not politicians should choose their doctors, coverage and care.
We should lower costs, increase competition, protect Medicare for seniors and expand access without putting the entire healthcare system under federal control.

Before Washington prescribes Medicare for All, America needs to read the black-box warning.
With 13 years as a Cook County commissioner, Liz Gorman is the logical choice to represent Cook County's 17th District.
In Gorman, Cook County will have a reliable conservative voice and thoughtful leader.
In Elyse Hoffenberg, Cook County will get an erratic Marxist who will submit to Toni Preckwinkle.
We are pleased to see the Tribune has endorsed Alice Hu for commissioner of Cook County’s 12th District.
Cook County needs more self-reliant thinkers on the Board.
We support Hu and are urging our followers in the 12th District to cast a ballot for her on Nov. 3rd.

The same guy who addressed protesters with a burned American flag at his feet can't even be bothered to recite the Pledge with his right hand over his heart.
A verdict has been rendered: Byron Psycho Lopez hates this country.
BSL is human garbage.

Why is Jason Dones (CTU-backed candidate in 3B) paying for Anusha Thotakura’s (CTU-backed candidate in 6A) signage?
Either someone made a mistake or someone is breaking rules… 👀
Another red flag surrounding Kate Dunneback's campaign for Board of Education.
Look in back and you'll see soapbox Marxist, @jacksonpCTU.
The Chicago Teachers Union owns Dunneback.
How can 83 percent of CPS students graduate when only 26 percent of 11th graders are proficient in reading and math and 40 percent are chronically absent?
I gather it's a miracle.

Illinois can’t immediately locate the FEMA documents I requested. Taxpayers deserve answers.
I submitted a FOIA request to see exactly what Illinois sent to FEMA when requesting federal disaster assistance.
The state’s response? The records weren’t located during a routine search, and the agency needs five additional business days to find them.
That doesn’t mean the documents are missing, but it does raise questions about transparency.
As a congressional candidate, I take this seriously. FEMA is a federal agency, and Congress has a responsibility to oversee how disaster assistance is requested, evaluated, and distributed.
I want to see the application, the supporting evidence, and the timeline so we can understand exactly what happened.
I’ll keep pursuing these records and share what they reveal.
When government requests federal taxpayer dollars, the public deserves to see the receipts.
That’s Results First.

It was unclear whether Juliana Stratton thinks she’s running against me or the President. But it was nice to hear that she’s able to say his name without using the ‘F-Word.’
Of all the whoppers Mayor Johnson told in his budget address, the lie about "88 percent of adults" want big corporations to pay more in taxes was the biggest.
There is not one issue on which "88 percent" will all agree.

A new "Waste Tax?"
What freshmen aldermen will support a new tax on food deliveries with reelection four months away?
Mayor Johnson will today propose a new Department of Community Wellness and Safety to replace the interim Office of Gun Violence Reduction he created by EO in June.
The EO mandated the interim office submit monthly reports on "violence reduction activities."
In nearly four months, the office did not present a single report.
Nothing.
This is how @ChicagosMayor's City Hall rolls. Promise and deliver absolutely nothing.
Now imagine a new department with dozens of employees earning six-figure salaries, all paid to do absolutely nothing.
Patrick Dent returns with a sobering reminder about Cook County judges.
They are awful, Dent says, and voters control who is and isn't retained.
On election day, vote Democrat judges out.

We caught up with @themodpun to discuss her campaign for Illinois' 1st congressional district.
In our one-hour discussion, Mrs. Maxwell strengthened her case over how she is the best candidate to unseat Jonathan Jackson.

Well, I walked off that debate stage last night feeling pretty darn good.
I came prepared to answer the tough questions and tell Illinois voters exactly where I stand. And that’s what I did!
I wish I could say I learned as much about Lt. Governor Stratton’s plans for the Senate. But GOODNESS GRACIOUS, nearly every road seemed to lead right back to Donald Trump!
We get it Lt Governor, you don’t like the President. But there were questions being asked that deserved answers about what YOU intend to accomplish in Washington.
A big thank you to WTTW and the Chicago Tonight team for hosting us, and to everyone who tuned in. I think we can call that evening a win.
