Moments like this brings me back to a fact I always talk about.
Black people aren’t as common as you think. In America they outnumber us 16:1. In Florida they outnumber us 4:1. There are cities in Florida where they don’t even have 100 black people living in it.
Lean on community… except for the people who voted for this. Let them suffer.
Florida. We have work to do. Our local governments are about to be gutted. Mutual aid will be resistance in this moment.
After school & summer camp programs, roads, water management, public safety, senior centers, public transportation…we are in for a massive hit.
This is when we lean into community. Florida will always be worth fighting for.
