To quote the wise and poignant words of Johnny Hamcheck:
“Nobody ever knows what the hell is going on this industry”
I wrote about these potential benefits /remaining questions in September, read here:

DEA approvals could bring big tax benefits for medical marijuana businesses

How does broader rescheduling of recreational marijuana to Schedule III address these concerns where DEA says it cannot grant federal registration and protections to any business in Minnesota because state law allows veterans to access cannabis without a doctor's written certification.
There are no such certifications for adult-use products...

DEA says that medical cannabis operators who did not apply or did not receive registration can't do business with anyone who didn't apply after Nov. 29. What's that mean for adult-use, or 280E? Unclear! Our little story for now: mjbizdaily.com/news/dea-gran…

@alexmootz143 would you be interested in coming onto @thecolememo?
It seems like you have a different perspective than other hemp participants that I’ve spoken to.
In case you didn’t know me: I am a cannabis consumer. I grow my own, & very occasionally buy from dispo or “hemp”
(I would have direct messaged you this invite but Twitter would not let me. We can chat on the phone before we go on air, if you’d like to discuss the show format or anything else. Let me know!)

For years, some cannabis products were treated like alcohol and cigarettes (aka descheduled commodities).
That era ends next month, when cannabis will be treated like a controlled substance again
It’s a massive step back in a policy that gave parity to cannabis plant & industry

Illinois medical cannabis patients can now view their remaining allotment and purchase history directly through the IDPH patient portal.
The new feature shows purchases made over the past 30 days, including where, when, and what was purchased.

I find it interesting how some cannabis investors, rather than adjusting their investment thesis to reflect reality, choose to advocate for policies designed to make reality conform to their thesis
(Sign of a weak thesis)

🚨IL House Rep / Congressional Nominee on the subject of home grow
I think one of the clearest signs of just how fragile the cannabis industry remains is that some operators still lobby against home cultivation.
Imagine Del Monte lobbying against your right to grow tomatoes🍅
