Paige Bueckers has been extremely solid off the bench for USA through its first two wins. The 6-foot guard currently leads the team in efficiency rating and steals, while ranking second in scoring, assists and blocks. She’s one of just two USA players averaging double figures in points, shooting an impressive 57.1% from the floor, 66.7% from three and 100% from the free-throw line. Bueckers opened the tournament with 14 points and four assists off the bench in a win over China. Today, she made an impact across the board with seven points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks in USA’s 55-52 win over Italy. She would knock down a big three-pointer late in the third quarter to tie the game and spark an 8-0 USA run. She’ll be back in action tomorrow when USA takes on Czechia to close out the group phase. 🪄
