My letter was published in today’s @BostonGlobe. Carine Hajjar’s article argues progressive policies are to blame for Mass & Cass. Blaming harm reduction for M&C is like blaming an Emergency Room for gun violence. Harm reduction is a response to a failure, not the failure.

Many people know that my story ends with Stanford and Boston University, but few know how my story begins. Well, this is it. Returning to the Clark County Detention Center this past week was very surreal. I spent 20 months in this jail awaiting trial and then sentencing. 🧵🪡
