Was very touched by the number of people who Fogsplained to me, as if I couldn’t understand the film’s very simple story. I promise you I can! Probably.
Just watched John Carpenter’s The Fog again, on @TalkingPicsTV. It makes little to no sense, yet is almost unrivalled in its ability to creep me out. I always remember my mum being so unnerved by Carpenter’s score that she couldn’t stand to hear the film, let alone watch it.
Oh, and I spent much of today Endgame Encoring. Watching it, podding about it, talking to the Russos about it. God, I love that film 3000.

What a birthday weekend it has been. Curry, cake, Columbo, golf, darts, bowling, Liverpool winning. A glorious celebration with some of my closest friends and family. It sent tingles up my spine, and shooting pains up and down my left arm. Nothing to worry about, I’m sure.
About last night. Did a live show at Kings Place, our spiritual home. Was a delight. Included the world’s most inappropriate minute’s silence, the return of Peter Lorre (much to Helen’s disgust), and Corin Hardy doing a flying kick on stage. Must do more live shows…

Flight back from Belfast to London was delayed by two hours, so decided to watch Gene Hackman thriller THE PACKAGE, which is on Prime for about another day. Proto-Fugitive from Andrew Davis — man on the run! A massive conspiracy! Chicago! Tommy Lee Jones! — that’s solid enough.
