First of all, I’d like to thank the many, many fans throughout this province and across Canada who stuck with the @BCLions while we were down early this year.
Secondly, I want to thank the CFL for setting this stage, because I know how important it is. Western Semifinal at BC Place. It is to the football fans, it is to this league, and it is to the BC Lions. With that wait, we got what we wanted: the @sskroughriders.
I don’t have to say a whole lot more about the way I feel about the Roughriders. No respect. No honor. There is no honor among thieves in the first place.
You put hard times on the BC Lions and our fans last year. You don’t know what hard times are, daddy. Hard times are when the fans in this building have waited years for another Grey Cup run, when the kids are in orange and black and still walking out empty-handed. Hard times are when you watch a season slip away in the final seconds. And hard times are when a team works all year, all year, and gets sent home while someone else takes the prize. That’s hard times! That’s hard times!
And Roughriders, you put hard times on this province by knocking the Lions out last year. That’s hard times. And we all had hard times together. I admit, we didn’t always look pretty getting here. We had our struggles, we had our ugly stretches, but brother, we’re ready. And they know we’re ready.
There were two tough teams in the West… one was whoever was sitting on top in August, and the other one’s right here.
Roughriders, this playoff spot and the road to the Grey Cup belongs to these people. I’m gonna reach out right now. I want you at home, and you in the stands, to know my hand is touching your hand for the gathering of the biggest body of people in this province, in this league, all over the country. Reach it out! Because the love that was given us, and this time we will repay you now. Because the BC Lions are going to the Western Final, of this Hard Times BC Lions Tour ’26!

Okay, heads up BCers, we've got an update on those fascists at the Legislature, the day after the election. Seems they're being invited right into the Legislature by Premier designate JCM Lorne. As advisers no less.

Fox: Why are you here this morning?
Trump rally attendee: Well, in the late 70s, I was a little too young to go to South America for the Jonestown Massacre. But this is as close as I'll ever get, so that's why I'm here. There's nothing like seeing a cult right up front.
