💡WEEK 8 | SPOTLIGHT REPORT Chris Speed Jr. @ChrisSpeedJr Landmark Christian School DT/LB 6'3 250 Lbs. C/O 2027 There’s an intriguing blend of size, hand quickness and short-area movement in this young man’s interior work. He flashes quick, accurate hands across multiple reps, using placement and separation to create access to the football. On the first snap, he sets up the lineman with a subtle punch. That initial contact precedes a sidestep to clear the block and finish for a tackle for loss. I like the coordination between his hands and feet, with each action contributing to his release from the engagement. The next rep shows his ability to adjust against a double team. When his initial path stalls, he spins out of contact and redirects to the quarterback for a sack, displaying body control through the spin and persistence through resistance. At :29, his strike and shed show how quickly he can separate in a confined area. His size draws attention, but the hand accuracy and ability to change his path give this tape substance. He shows multiple ways to work free, with enough short-area quickness to turn separation into disruption.
