here's his blueprint for what comes after LLMs:
• step 1 → LLMs predict text. the real world isn't text. "the techniques that work for text do not work for video"
• step 2 → stop predicting raw inputs. learn abstract representations of reality - predict in that space. that's JEPA
• step 3 → persistent memory + world models + hierarchical planning + abstract reasoning - all in representation space, not token space
• step 4 → "these systems will have emotions. fear, excitement, elation. but no anger. no jealousy."
"we need systems that understand the physical world, have persistent memory, can reason and plan."
