Sometimes I’m surprised by just how surprised trans-identifying people and their allies are about the pushback. You’re asking people to accept that you are the opposite sex, often when they can plainly see otherwise. You expect everyone, regardless of their beliefs, backgrounds, religions, cultures or understanding of biology, to affirm your beliefs you have about yourself. And when they can’t honestly agree, you won’t let it slide. You want institutions, workplaces and schools to enforce that agreement, right down to ordinary public interactions. People who object are labelled hateful, with demands that they face consequences at work or even legal penalties. Then you seem bewildered by the resistance. You’re demanding that people speak as though they agree with you about the nature of sex and gender, how society should organise itself around those beliefs, and even the best way to treat dysphoria. The same views. Even when it means it forces people to lie to you. Everyone must use the same language. Everyone in lockstep. How do you not recognise how authoritarian that demand is?

This is what we’re up against
If you're curious why the media is spreading so much false information about the riots, consider: — The French Culture Ministry paid €204.7 million in direct aid to the news media in 2023, of which Le Monde received €8.3 million, L’Humanité €6.5 million and Libération €6.3 million — The @afpfr runs "fact-checks" in 26 languages, received €120 million from the French state in 2025, against €200.3 million in commercial revenue. @AFP is French government propaganda and disinformation — European governments are committed through a UN agreement to spread pro-mass migration propaganda by funding it directly. The “migration compact,” which 152 governments voted for in the UN General Assembly in 2018, commits them to “stopping allocation of public funding... to media outlets that systematically promote intolerance, xenophobia, racism and other forms of discrimination towards migrants," which is broadly interpreted to cover criticism of mass migration policies — To maintain control over news media, the European Commission funds a network of 15 fact-checking hubs with tens of millions of euros, and its rules require platforms to give priority to notices from “trusted flaggers.” — Governments fund think tanks to produce reports, including ones demanding censorship, that the news media cover sympathetically and editorialize in support of. — The @ISDglobal in London — which demands censorship of people it disagrees with on climate change, gender, and migration, refuses to speak with journalists, and lists a phony address — lists among its funders the British Foreign Office, the U.S. Departments of Homeland Security and Justice, the German Foreign Office and the European Commission, along with Google and Microsoft. isdglobal.org/partnerships-a… — Public reported in 2024 that ISD and the German fact-checker Correctiv, both government-funded, had spread false claims about German farmers and opposition politicians.

Dudes like this are just so shitty. This is all performative audience pandering. Their minds are made up the second their team signals which side they need to be on. Just complete cowards

This is where @JeffPassan tells us “any team can do this” right?
How do the Dodgers carry an unlimited payroll? Filings uncovered by @NickNemo17 show roughly $1.45 billion in debt for American Media Productions, the entity behind SportsNet LA and the Dodgers' 25-year, $8.35 billion Charter deal, sitting on the balance sheets of 5 life insurance companies tied to or controlled by the Dodgers' own ownership group. i.e. the Dodgers get a sweetheart deal on their TV rights from a media company their owners co-own, financed by insurance companies those same owners control. Because ownership sits on both sides, as borrower and lender, the setup functions as a closed loop: -When RSNs hit turbulence, banks enforce covenants or force restructuring. Here the lenders are insurers the owners manage, so the capital stays patient and cash flow to the team never gets choked. -MLB taxes net local revenue at 34% but allows deductions for debt service and interest tied to running the network. Carrying $1.45 billion in media debt on AMP's balance sheet generates interest expense that shrinks reportable net TV income and the resulting revenue-sharing bill. Then there's the payroll itself. Over $1 billion of it is deferred, owed to 9 players through 2047. Pushing that cash out frees up money today, some of which is going toward servicing that same debt, and kicks the actual bill to a stretch of decades many of today's owners won't be around for. LA built a (seemingly illegal) structure that captures its own interest yield, shelters TV income from league revenue sharing, and helps fund payroll dominance in the process.

Many are saying
He's right Jess. You're just seeing the black and white of the liberal media/ media in general. There's a whole another world out there where people don't know or care of what the media is telling them. or programming them to believe. Racism wins when you let the rage control u.

The LIV cope has been some of the funniest content you could ever ask for. It’s like the band still playing on the titanic if the band only included retards

The level of fucking retard you have to be to think Trump is as authoritarian as Stalin is staggering. Yet that’s the progressive left.
A teen cousin showed me this in her AP American Government book. Trump is similar ideologically to Hitler and Bernie Sanders is a touch off the center to the left.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
In the textbook, this chart is presented as a graphic made by someone else, and students are asked, 'Do you agree with where the graphic places certain people?', as part of a critical thinking exercise. The textbook clearly does not endorse it as accurate. x.com/yhdistyminen/s…

I’m from Mexican California (Baja). As a kid, I crossed into San Diego almost every weekend with my family. There was a clear stereotype about Mexican visitors to the U.S. not migrants, but people who crossed to shop and then returned to Mexico: once on the U.S. side, they, we, behaved. U.S. rules were followed. That always bothered me, because it felt like a blunt lesson about Mexico’s underdevelopment: The same person who might throw trash on the street in Tijuana would never dare to do so across the border. Watching this report on Somali fraud brought that memory back. What strikes me is the contrast. In my experience, Mexicans adapted their behavior to U.S. institutions because they feared and respected them, or at least we used to. What you see here, by contrast, is open disregard. The difference is not about nationality. That is not my point. It is about whether institutions are seen as something that disciplines behavior, or as something you can safely ignore or bend to fit your own standards.
🚨 Here is the full 42 minutes of my crew and I exposing Minnesota fraud, this might be my most important work yet. We uncovered over $110,000,000 in ONE day. Like it and share it around like wildfire! Its time to hold these corrupt politicians and fraudsters accountable We ALL work way too hard and pay too much in taxes for this to be happening, the fraud must be stopped.

Just couldn’t help but stick one last needle in. “He stood for hate” is exactly, EXACTLY what the murderer said of him. This will keep happening if we keep saying different opinions are “hateful” and spreading constant lies.
Have written & deleted a bunch of thoughts on yesterday and I think all I’ll offer is political violence, like any violence, is wrong and bad and yesterday was a sad day. That said, I reject what that dude stood for (hate, fear, division) and won’t pretend he was anything else.

This is an interesting one, Basically makes the case that Arraez is actually costing us value as a leadoff hitter. I love Arraez and his attitude/approach but am definitely not locked him as a leadoff guy. blogs.fangraphs.com/the-myth…
