I qualified as a midwife 18 years ago, back then MW jobs in the NHS were few and far between. In fact, my temp contract expired while I was on mat leave 15 years ago and there was no job for me to return to, I was unemployed for 6 months! 1/2

@TamesideCouncil Please tell me how charging NHS staff £250 for a 6 month parking pass is acceptable? Which has increased from £140 in the last 3 months 😵 Plus having to pay £250 upfront with no option to pay monthly! £500 per year to park near work to provide a public service😳
Context - I live a 20 minute drive away from Tameside General, public transport take me a minimum of 1 hour 15 minutes on 2 buses + on foot, adding at least 2.5 hours onto a 10 hour working day! Driving is really my only option!
Please look at your parking charges for TGH staff!
