The new Congress will pass legislation to end the tariffs against Canada. President Trump will veto the bill. But Congressional Republicans will join Democrats and override Trump's veto thus signifying that Trump's control of the Republican Party is over.

I've been thinking a lot about the shellacking that we republicans took in this election this week, and I think we need to acknowledge something: First, nearly everything President Trump (who I voted for three times) has set out to do has been a failure. Tariffs - probably a dumb idea to start, but we regular people have seen no benefit. Reverse gerrymandering - it blew up in a big way. Drain the swamp - yet he won't release the unredacted Epstein files. The Iran War - so far a big L. ICE raids - its gone way farther than many in the middle are comfortable with (and not far enough for the one issue immigration people.) Leadership of the republican party - he's basically gutted conservatives from the party. But worse than all of this, he's done it while being totally toxic and not communicating to the people. When a president goes to war, he has the duty to make that case to the American people and to their representatives in congress. President Trump has not done that. We normies are paying $4.50 for gas. He's acting like that doesn't matter and it's worth it. But he needs to make that case explicitly and refuses to do it. What he does do - loudly and often - is make himself the center of everything. Trump has one principle - Donal Trump. His one criteria for supporting a candidate isn't principles, but whether or not the person will kiss his ring. There is also seems to be (whether the GOP wants to admit this or not) some teeth to the corruption complaints. Trump made millions on a dumb trash cryptocurrency - that is essentially stealing money from a bunch of naive people. He let's foreign governments buy him a jet. His family seems to trading on his name to the tune of billions. If his last name was Obama or Biden we would be throwing a fit about any of these things - but somehow Trump gets a pass. That might work for the 33% of the electorate who would vote for Trump anyway. The 33% who hate everything he does will make noise if he was a saint. But the 33% in the middle are sick of it - and that is what I think was said loud and clear last Tuesday. You have to win and keep the middle. The middle includes female professionals who are aghast (not giddy) about stories of ICE raids. The middle includes people who want to see the country survive when the 80 year old man running it is no longer here. The middle includes guys making $60k per year who now have to pay higher everything because of a war that they thought they were voting against. So my take on the awful Tuesday is we deserved it. Maybe it will be good for us in the long run and we can move away from crazy.

In summer I was shocked to see the Cons flirting with the sub-100 seat level. Now they’re flirting with sub-60. Their only recourse is to boot Poilievre now that MAGA, and by extension, MapleMAGA, has disintegrated. I hope they keep the loser to keep losing big.

This is very positive. The focus on an Integrated Support approach for addiction will save lives by providing a safe place to live along with health & addiction treatment all in one place. 1/2
In Budget 2026, we’re laying out a path to end homelessness within the next decade — backed by nearly $30 billion to bring help, housing, and health care together. Because in Canada, we take care of each other.

PRO TIP: The MAGA shills telling you were about to start truly prosecuting a war against Iran will be as wrong tonight and tomorrow as they’ve been every day since April.

Miller is a Nazi and on Monday he becomes Trump's Chief of Staff. Miller's speech on Sept 21, 2025, at the Kirk memorial at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, has clear parallels to the tactics used by Goebbels in Nazi propaganda. "The storm is coming" address, closely mimics the themes and cadence of a famous 1932 speech published by Hitler’s chief propagandist, Joseph Goebbels, titled "The Storm Breaks Loose" (Es blitzt der Sturm). Historians, political scientists, and civil rights organizations frequently analyze speech patterns like the one delivered by Miller at the Kirk memorial service to identify rhetorical overlaps with authoritarian, fascist, and National Socialist (Nazi) ideologies. The "Cult of Decline" and Rebirth (Palingenetic Ultranationalism): A core definition of fascist ideology is the narrative that a great civilization is currently in a state of terminal, decadent decay due to internal enemies, and that only a radical, aggressive movement can bring about a national rebirth. This exact blueprint forms the core of Miller's speech, which explicitly demands a total defense to "save this civilization". The music score shares specific functional and stylistic techniques with the music utilized at historical authoritarian and Nazi rallies. Fascist regimes heavily rejected contemporary, experimental music in favor of sweeping, neoclassical, and Wagnerian compositions. This style of grandiose orchestration was deliberately chosen to create a sense of vast historical scale, making the listener feel as though they are participating in a monumental, mythic struggle rather than a standard political gathering.

Stephen Miller won't accept that the American people have spoken against Trump's policies. What's he going to do? Roll tank into the streets? To force the people to do what the MINORITY party demands? You can't force people to love Trump with violence, threats and fear @StephenM #StephenMiller #Trump #MAGA

“It's not that Trump is the worst president in American history; it's that he's the worst human being ever to occupy the national stage.” YES. With him, it’s not a matter of “policy differences.” It’s morality. Humanity. Basic decency. He’s a terrible president, but an even worse person.

Worth remembering that this isn't the first time they've exchanged signals like this. Back on October 18, 2025, Dmitriev used that exact same acronym, WWG1WGA (“Where We Go One, We Go All”), while commenting on a photo of Hegseth meeting Zelenskyy at the White House. Hegseth had shown up to the meeting wearing a tie with white, blue, and red stripes arranged in the exact order of the Russian flag. Dmitriev posted a photo of him and then dropped the QAnon slogan. Even Vice President JD Vance got dragged into the controversy. He suggested that Hegseth's tie represented American colors, not Russian ones. Dmitriev coolly replied, “Maybe it's a good thing we have the same colors.” To me, that context makes this whole fucking story even more sinister.
