Ramadan is one of the holiest months in the Islamic calendar. During Ramadan, many Muslims will abstain from food and water from sunrise to sunset for 30 days. Families will have a pre-dawn meal and then an evening meal to break the fast. The timing of Ramadan changes each year because Muslims follow the lunar calendar. Some Muslims may begin fasting a day earlier and end a day later because of the diversity in the Muslim community.
he GECDSB is committed to inclusion and providing needed accommodations for Muslim students and staff. If you need an accommodation, please reach out to your supervisor. For more information, see the Ontario Human Rights Commission: bit.ly/3LAXITi
Please join the GECDSB in wishing all Muslim students, coworkers and community members a blessed and peaceful Ramadan. Ramadan Mubarak!

@CityFalcons 1st mindfulness lesson. Paying attentn is a physical task. How you sit can help you focus. Check in w/ your posture, adjust to sit upright & relaxed. Notice how that feels (mindful body). Do you prefer movement/stillness? When do you feel calm? @gecdsbpro #breathe
ALT I love the hallway signs! They even have a mindful avenue.
