I've seen posts about the North Riverfront bamboo observation tower. I don't believe it's a legitimate proposal but is instead something to try and get investors on board for something else using the new material.
"LouTeq" has been exploring this concept for a few years now.
Same architect talked about this building in Wood River over two years ago. I'm not sure if this has been built.

There’s not a single city in the “Best Value” category that I’d rather live in than St. Louis. Some pretty cool cities in there but STL is just as cool. Great food, free museums and zoos, ton of culture, very navigable. STL’s city/county issue makes the quality metrics deceptive
Up on the Northside in the JeffVanderLou neighborhood, the grand old home at 2932 University Street has been restored. It's now listed for sale for just under $300,000.
Projects like these are difficult, but meaningful. They show what's possible.

From a crumbling mess at Chippewa and Bamberger to a restored building hosting a 3-bedroom and 4-bedroom home. Tower Grove CDC completed a great small project on the City's Southside.
3772 Chippewa.

A tale as old as time…
- An investment is made into the neighborhood.
- Rents are priced at the market rate for new construction.
- The design is better than most things we see built today.
- Then come the complaints from social media users about how bad it is.
I encourage City residents, especially those who live along the planned Green Line BRT route, to try and attend one of these open houses if you're able.
I also encourage the Board of Aldermen to put the BRT proposal on the spring ballot with no delay. Let residents vote.
After topping out last month, progress continues on Albion West End. Two floors of glass + amenity penthouse walls and glass remain to be installed. Apartments on the lower floors have interior work ongoing with some having appliances brought in.
You can see some interior work going on here. These are on the 6th floor, which is shared with some amenity spaces. These apartments also have much higher ceilings than the others in the building.
The new Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital is looking great. I can't imagine the crane being up for too much longer.
This hospital holds a special place in the hearts of my family and we're hopeful this new facility helps children get the care they need for decades to come.
A companion building to these is coming together on Compton at Winnebago. Same development team and a tasteful addition to the Gravois Park neighborhood.

"Bavarian Row" is completed on Minnesota at Arsenal. It includes 2- and 3-bedroom rental townhomes and 1-bedroom apartments above the carports in the rear.
Rents are $1450 per month for a 1-bedroom, $2400 per month for a 2-bedroom, and $2800 per month for a 3-bedroom.
AHM Group is the developer.
AHM renovated the old Bavarian Inn at the same intersection. A vacant corner lot exists between both of these and seems like it could be an infill site later on.
More of these would be welcome, preferably with some for sale.

The restoration of the Garavaglia Building is chugging along. Brick has been relaid, a new roof has been installed, and the interior wood structure has been stabilized. New copper details have been installed. New windows are beginning to be installed. xitter.cf/CitySceneSTL/status/13…
Since the previous update, the building is looking better. It'll be great once all of the windows are in and the scaffolding comes down. xitter.cf/CitySceneSTL/status/20…
