For many reasons, I'm making an "X-odus." If you've engaged with my posts regularly here and I could find you, we're already connected or I'm following you on LinkedIn. Otherwise, if you're there, let's connect. Also, I don't consider myself part of any engagement pods. 🔽

I simply "like" certain posts. There's no "quid pro quo" or expectation on my part for anything in return. Going forward, I can't guarantee I'll actively engage with you on LI, but I'll try to keep in touch. No strings attached. 🔽

Write for people, not for 'bots! 🙂 Here's a take on overly formal writing @FromVivien (I meant to share this earlier).
Does anyone enjoy reading "formal - professional" toned writing? Our language is evolving. No one has time to look up jargon and buzzwords. Being more human in your tone and style doesn't make you less professional. It makes it easier to read.

More about Gemini's paid feature Deep Research and how it could automate your content sourcing via @you_know_ai.
Here's more on Gemini Deep Research. Google described this as an agent. It goes out and browses and does research for you. I really find it useful, but also, I think it will end many affiliate sites. youknowai.com/search/geminis…

I don't do anything as formal as "obtain." I "get," though. 🙂

Calls to action persuade readers to act, often to click a link. Are yours earning enough clicks? Many calls to action fall flat because they focus on the wrong thing. They are -- let’s face it -- boring. 🧐 See the latest way to craft CTAs that convert: bit.ly/4hrWCsK

As @NikkiPilkington says, I'd rather not just change the date on an old blog but update the content. I know many of us want our work to get more attention, but just updating the date seems dishonest.
SEO Myth: Updating publish dates tricks Google into thinking content is fresh! Myth Debunked: Google's not stupid - it looks at actual changes to your content, not just the date stamp. Changing the date on your content and thinking it'll fool Google is like putting a fake moustache on and claiming you're a different person. Google's not stupid - it looks at actual changes to your content, not just the date stamp. Want your content to be seen as fresh? Actually update it with new, relevant information. - Add current examples. - Remove outdated advice - Improve it based on user feedback. Real updates that add value will always beat playing silly buggers with timestamps. Stop trying to trick search engines and start helping your users. More: nikki-pilkington.com/seo-myt…
