Some fabulously prominent anti-idling signage at level crossing in Highams Park, London. Would be good to see more of this...the signage there is usually invisible to motorists #noidling – at Walthamstow, London
School Streets definitely help but much bigger problem than school run...it’s attitudinal...and and as we’ve seen in London, illegality on its own seems to make very little difference. Needs to be part of comprehensive package of measures #PavementParking – at Walthamstow, London
If you're affected by #PavementParking, then feel free to have a rant at Government via this consultation: gov.uk/government/consultati… The consultation ends on the 22nd November. @LevyCleanAir @CleanAirDad @CleanAirUK #SchoolStreets

Enforcement and fines for sure, but householders imo need to take some responsibility and challenge rather than excuse their delivery drivers/builders etc. Many London streets just weren’t built to accommodate current traffic volumes and car ownership #pavementparking – at Walthamstow, London

I’d say we probably need to go further and remove sections of parking on narrow residential streets. Pedestrians are literally being squeezed from pavements and this compounds the problem. Let’s put the residential back in residential streets – at Walthamstow, London

1/3. Quick favour please! We recently responded to the government's consultation on the phase-out of new sales of petrol/diesel/hybrid cars, asking for the date to be brought forwards to 2030, preferably sooner. It cannot come soon enough. #RoadToZero #NetZero #CleanAir

Just had an aggressive entitled driver force me off a v narrow road while out on the bike. Not for the first time recently. But hey he sounded his horn loudly just before so that’s Ok. What is it about these drivers thinking cyclists must cede the road to them? – at Walthamstow, London

This is what the Highway Code has to say about giving space to cyclists. Had a interesting exchange with a driver over weekend who felt I should have thanked him for sounding his horn so I could let him pass before parking around corner #DriverEntitlement highwaycodeuk.co.uk/using-th… – at Walthamstow, London
Remember that distant time when we referred to these monstrosities as Chelsea Tractors 🚜? I liked it as it captured how inappropriate SUVs are in the urban environment 1/2 – at Walthamstow, London

But the question is: should the term #ChelseaTractor be revived or should campaigners come up with a new one more in step with #BuildBackBetter and the #ClimateEmergency? There doesn’t seem to be the stigma there once was when you might have been the only tractor driver in the rd – at Walthamstow, London
