Remember: 1. The oceans are being killed. 2. Forests will soon be gone. 3. Fertile soil is disappearing. 4. Megafauna risk extermination. 5. Insects are vanishing. 6. Climate chaos is inevitable. 7. Extinction is now. 8. Plastic is in our blood. None of this is front page news.

HARD TO BELIEVE BUT TRUE: ~20-60% of Earth's species committed to extinction due to economic activities of the capitalist era (especially industrial agriculture) by mid-century
Extinction at 2.1-3°C and rising by the 2040s • global warming accelerating • unstoppable feedbacks in play • carbon sinks have become sources • emissions nowhere near plummeting • projection valid even if emissions fall • Establishment scientists were wrong

Tropical deforestation alone is associated with mass extinction within decades (2225) not centuries. Adding other habitat destruction and pollution brings the date forward to this/next century. This assumes climate change does not exist.. xitter.cf/ClimateBen/status/2113…

ICYMI: can you believe the capitalist elites are destroying the clouds?
Remember: a) humans can't survive without - bees - clouds - trees b) human systems are destroying - bees - clouds - trees Shouldn't they explain this in high school? Or in college? Can you believe they're destroying the clouds? Look👇

AS FEARED: "The world’s clouds are changing. They are covering less overall area and are dimming, with the effect that they reflect less solar radiation back into space. This increase in solar absorption is a major cause of the accelerating warming we are now experiencing."

Great piece by Tom Harris on cloud feedback The world's cloud cover is reducing, which makes the planet hotter This may be why Miocene Climatic Optimum temperatures were 7 - 8C up on pre-industrial for CO2 levels of just 400 - 600ppm Very, very, scary substack.com/home/post/p-220…

We need to talk about how the @DailyMail constantly pushes back on climate change action which scientists say without which we do not have a safe long-term future. They must also know that lawyers are looking into the prosecution of organisations misleading the public and pushing back against action. These editors, broadcasters and journalists will end up facing criminal prosecution which will be back by tens of millions of people. Listen to David Attenborough. Watch his documentary breaking boundaries. youtu.be/2Jq23mSDh9U?is=LjTN… Scientists below in thread. The future is not what people think it is.

Ultimate crimes against nature and humanity resulting in horrifying mass death, extinction, and unimaginable suffering at a global scale with billions dead all of which could have been prevented. "Yeah.. but so what?"
Replying to @ClimateBen
Even if correct, So what?

FYI: These results indicate that tropical forest loss/degradation alone, even without considering other human stressors such as climate change and habitat loss in other ecosystems, will precipitate a mass extinction event over the next couple of centuries. pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.17…

"Tropical forest loss/degradation alone, even without considering other human stressors such as climate change and habitat loss in other ecosystems, will precipitate a mass extinction event over the next couple of centuries." ~ Global biodiversity loss from tropical deforestation
FYI: the combination of habitat & wildlife destruction and toxic, plastic, light, & noise pollution driven by the race for profit and growth will at this rate result in mass extinction in the next decades

Biodiversity destruction and pollution ongoing. The rate of change is broadly unsurvivable. xitter.cf/ClimateBen/status/2112…
UPDATE: scientists confirm the rate of climate change has now begun to exceed 0.4°C per decade implying extinction within 3 to 6 decades

The BBC have been “very compliant to Israel, reporting their arguments even where it’s screamingly obvious, even to viewers, that what's happening in Gaza is an international scandal,” a BBC insider has said. [...] The anonymous BBC insider said there’s “still a tendency to refer back to the Hamas attack on the festival as if that was a balancing moment against what has come up subsequently.” The source continued: “There's a tendency for the BBC to hide behind objectivity” instead of doing “the core journalism job of bringing truth to power”. While BBC staff are afraid to speak out “because of the threat of job losses and restructuring. And that there’s a malaise within the organisation where people feel troubled by how things are progressing,” the source said. via @ScotNational archive.ph/uw3ZI
