It is absolutely unconscionable that Chevron would spend $50,000 to re-elect a supposed "progressive" mayor like LA's Karen Bass. And that she'd give them reason to.
Chevron, as a company, is engaged in outright war profiteering — using the Iran war as cover to price gouge the people of California, who already pay the most expensive fuel prices in the country.
Ask yourself: why would Chevron back a mayor whose constituents they're taking food from? Why would an oil company that is directly contributing to the worsening wildfires burning down her constituents' homes want four more years of Karen Bass? It is immoral and nakedly corrupt. It makes no sense for a Democrat to be in that position, much less a supposed progressive.
When it comes time to elect a new Mayor on November 3, Angelenos would do well to remember who Chevron picked. Karen Bass clearly cares more for the profits of oil companies than she does the well-being of the citizens she swore to protect
Marylanders' energy bills have skyrocketed 44% from 2020 to 2025. Corporate greed, plain and simple.
While policymakers and the CEOs they work for sit together on panels about AI expansion, the average citizen suffers from their cost of living skyrocketing.
Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has the power to shut down construction RIGHT NOW on Line 5, an oil pipeline owned by Canadian multinational Enbridge being built in the Lake Superior watershed in Wisconsin, but is refusing to do so.
Line 5 has spilled 34 times in its lifetime. This includes a spill of 1.3 million gallons of natural gas liquids, the largest spill in Wisconsin’s history, just two months ago. It threatens the treaty rights of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe, the Lake Superior watershed, and a livable future for planet earth.
That’s why we disrupted Governor Evers at an awards ceremony where he received a “Lifetime award for Justice”. In attendance was the Democratic Gubernatorial candidate David Crowley, the mayor of Milwaukee, the lieutenant Governor, and multiple democratic party legislators. Governor Evers and the Wisconsin democratic party establishment heard our message loud and clear. ACT NOW TO SHUT DOWN LINE 5.
@Governor Evers How can you look your nine grandchildren in the eye and allow this pipeline to be built?
oh literally FUCK Joe Manchin. He spent his day today campaigning in Maine for Susan Collins. He is working to hand the US Senate to Trump and keep the MAGA agenda alive.
Manchin vowed he would wage an "unrelenting fight" against the Inflation reduction act that he helped pass, calling it a radical climate agenda. The now former senator and democrat who took the most fossil fuel funding in congress is hitting the campaign trail for Republican Susan Collins.
One of our first actions ever, in 2023, was a confrontation of Joe Manchin. We forced him to leave his own event. We humiliated him in front of millions. We are not done. We will confront every climate coward and every climate criminal until they relent.
Have you seen DIGGER? We have. When life is stranger than fiction you must monologue at the men and women who are selling out our world to point out the absurdity of our current moment.
Oil companies have profited billions from the Iran War. Living near gas plants increases cancer and asthma risk in children. Despite this, the S&P 500 sells their data to oil companies and continues to recommend that Americans invest in an industry that's actively killing us.
*big surprise* Trump's buddy Gabe Evans didn't want to talk about crippling consumer prices.
He showed up to his midterm debate to spew lies about his record. Here's the real story.
Gabe cut healthcare funding and food assistance for his constituents. He championed Trump's Big Beautiful Bill, which cut $1 Trillion in Medicaid funding, spiked ACA premiums by 58%, and cut off SNAP food assistance for five million people.
Gabe defends Trump's tariffs, while consumers and farmers in his district pay the price.
Gabe supports Trump's war in Iran, which has spiked the prices of gas, fertilizer, diesel, and all diesel-transported products to hit the shelves.
Gabe wants you to think your life is hard because of everyone else—immigrants, trans people, socialists—when really your life is hard because of him.
The Super El Niño that is destroying Southern California’s coastline was easy to predict. But, instead of preparing for inevitable disaster, our government spent the last two years gutting every agency that keeps us safe from climate change-caused super storms.
This path we are on is simply unsustainable. Let’s voice our collective displeasure at the ballot box November 3rd and elect candidates who will work to protect our shorelines.
Orange County is burning. Oklahoma City is underwater. Lake Mead is at historic lows. Virginia's grid is on emergency orders because of the data centers.
And the man who fired the forecasters would like you to look at his flying car.
Please. Look at the car.
Zeta Live is an all-day AI conference held at Lincoln Center in the heart of Manhattan. Speakers this year included Kevin Hart, Jason Sudeikis and, oh yeah, Alex Karp.
We went to a Trump rally to thank the president for the green transition.
By starting a war in the Strait of Hormuz and choking off the route for 20% of the world’s oil, Trump has done more for solar than the Sierra Club ever did. Solar is soaring and EV sales are through the roof. Finally, a president who is not afraid to raise the price of gas.
Never mind that we're all paying for it at the pump, at the grocery store, and on everything that moves by diesel, while U.S. oil companies post record profits. Never mind the 560 separate actions this administration has taken since January 2025 to gut protections for the climate, the environment and our health.
Climate news is always so depressing. So we wanted to focus on the positives for once. Thanks, Trump.
