I suspect the rumors about Kim Jong Un are simply a result of the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 game. The storyline in the game may have given rise to this rumor. The game is scheduled to be released on October 23, 2026.

I watched Ben Affleck’s interview on AI/ML and his amusing barrage of buzzwords, and somewhere between transformers, neural networks, model training, and inference, I couldn’t help but imagine the interview ending like this. 😂

Why the Big Labs Are Slowing Down: It's Not Safety, It's Liability Picture a Hugging Face-style incident with Pearl Harbor-level impact: a model or weights released at scale that ends up enabling a coordinated attack on critical infrastructure. The legal fallout would not be one lawsuit. It would be every jurisdiction at once. Civil exposure comes first. Product liability and negligence claims from every affected party, consolidated into mass-tort litigation. Shareholder suits arguing the board knew the risk and shipped anyway. Discovery would surface every internal safety memo, every red-team result, every "ship it" email, and those documents become Exhibit A. Regulatory exposure stacks on top. The EU AI Act already allows fines up to 7 percent of global revenue. Sector regulators for energy, finance, and telecom carry their own penalties. Multiply that across the US, EU, UK, and Asia and the numbers stop being fines and start being existential. Then personal exposure. Directors have a duty of oversight. Executives who sign off on a release despite documented, unmitigated catastrophic risk are not shielded by the corporate veil. Criminal negligence and reckless endangerment statutes exist for exactly this pattern: you knew, you had the means to prevent it, you proceeded. A CEO facing that record is not thinking about benchmarks. That's why legal departments run these organizations now. No general counsel will let a company be the named defendant in the first AI-enabled mass casualty case, and no CEO wants to be the first executive deposed in it. We are too focused on lawyering. That hyper-focus is exactly why we will lose to China. Beijing is not slowing its labs down with the threat of trillion dollar judgments and decade-long litigation. We are. When the loudest voices in the room are general counsel and the plaintiffs' bar, and the incentive is a massive payday for lawyers rather than a working system for engineers, the outcome is predictable: engineering waits while lawyering wins. A country that treats every model release as a future deposition instead of a technical milestone is not racing. It is litigating. And if we stay a litigious country first and an engineering country second, we will not have lost the AI race in a lab. We will have lost it in a courtroom. The big AI labs are not slowing down because of safety. They are slowing down because once a global security attack traces back to your model, prosecution isn't a risk. It's a certainty.

For those of you studying for the NVIDIA AI Infrastructure & Operations course, I wanted to share a few resources and tips to help you on your journey. 1. Free & Paid Video Courses Andrew Brown (ExamPro): You can watch the entire NVIDIA Infrastructure & Operations course for free on his website: exampro.co/nca-aiio FreeCodeCamp (YouTube): This course is also available on YouTube at: youtu.be/0WjfKQdfeMU Note: I highly recommend a YouTube Premium subscription if you plan to use this as your primary training source to avoid constant ad interruptions. Ashish Prajapati (Udemy/LinkedIn Learning): This course is available on Udemy for approximately $12.99 USD: udemy.com/course/nvidia-nca-… Pro Tip: If your employer provides LinkedIn Learning, check there first! This exact course is often hosted there for free. I found it to be a great resource and completed it in about five hours. 2. Platform-Specific Options Coursera ($49.00 USD): This is the official NVIDIA course and is identical to the version hosted directly on NVIDIA’s own platform: coursera.org/learn/ai-infras… NVIDIA Official Site ($50.00 – $150.00 USD): You can take the course directly through the NVIDIA Academy: academy.nvidia.com/en/ * Note: The higher price point typically includes the exam voucher. 3. Custom AI Learning with NotebookLM Beyond traditional videos, I’ve found a unique way to "cement" the fundamentals: Create your own Podcast: Download the Official Exam Study Guide here: nvdam.widen.net/view/pdf/dgq… The Workflow: Upload that PDF to Google NotebookLM to generate a podcast-style audio summary. Why this works: Listening to the AI hosts break down complex concepts using relatable examples while you are on the go helps reinforce the material required to pass the exam. I highly recommend this for repetitive reinforcement! Good luck to everyone preparing for the exam!

China is quietly dominating AI with a 30-year talent machine: Every year, ~100,000 top high school prodigies enter elite “genius classes,” skip the brutal gaokao, and fast-track into Tsinghua/Peking-level AI/CS programs. Result? Founders of ByteDance (TikTok), Meituan, Pinduoduo; chip challengers to Nvidia; and core teams at DeepSeek (R1 stunned the world at fraction of US cost), Alibaba Qwen, and more - all homegrown. Jensen Huang admits: 50% of global AI researchers are Chinese, China leads AI patents, and their top tech schools now outrank the West. While the US chases AGI, China built the deepest engineer bench and is deploying AI at massive scale. This isn’t catching up - it’s already ahead. youtu.be/bkm6kCfDUCk
