Well… here we go one last time.
I accepted a job, but after accepting it, I learned several things that weren’t disclosed beforehand. Because of that, I’m back on the market.
If you need a varsity football coach this fall, let’s talk.
A repost would mean more than you know.
🎯
OC and Head Coach GameDay Reminders to Adjust on GameDay:
1) If O is killing it and moving ball and scoring with u being a risk taker and playing fast, then continue if defense is struggling
2) If O stinks and struggles to get first downs and is 3 and out fast and Defense is playing great and getting stops then slow down and “muddle huddle” and snap late and eat more clock
3) Head coach remember at the end of game either way if u win not to publicly throw the O or the D under the bus publicly…Sometimes matchups make one side better than the other and if u say “We are a team…Not an Offense or a Defense” then act like it when you get a victory…
I’ve won 60-59 and 3-2 and I’ve lost 57-59…
The 3-2 win( albeit I was fired a couple weeks after) was a much better coaching job than the 57-59 loss…
Winning football games is hard and if u can figure it out as an OC to win ugly and a DC to bleed a little slower then you’re a damn good unselfish coach.
Not every year or every game is going to be lights out and keep u in guru status…Learn to win, teach, and enjoy regardless
Keep being a blessing to these kids, I know you will 🫡 you a real one! 💯.
As we @AntMcGhee1 prepare to celebrate one of our original underdogs @M2ntre college commitment tomorrow it just makes us put things into perspective! This year 10 coming up for me as a mentor, coach, & trainer! I must say through all the hate, all the naysayers, all the negativity and doubts! The ultimate trophy is seeing all our former athletes getting scholarship offers, some are in college already, and some are committing to go! We never really post about our former players success because it never was about clout or trying to take the spotlight from the kids! All the kids was blessed with God giving ability so we won’t ever take credit for the lords work but we did help develop, nurture, and help elevate their talents and skills. But, we can’t go perform for them or put the work in for them! That part is all up to them! I sit here today proud and almost in tears because the journey has been one of a kind and a kid like Montre Jackson is a direct result of what hard work and commitment gets you! This is something we seen in Montre as a young pup when he was playing LB & RB for us! Kid always been a stud and one of one! Wherever he decides to go Garland Bulldogs family will support him throughout the rest of his journey and career! Always forever ☝🏾WAY #ManyMoreToCome #GTownStayDown

Detroit Lions HC Dan Campbell - Meeting Structure
- "First of all I know this, you can give them deadhead if you're not careful, so hit them in spurts. You give them 20 minutes, hit them on what you need to hit them on & get them out for a couple minutes, bring them back & keep going."
- "It needs to be interactive, ultimately we're teachers. We're teachers in football, so how do you communicate & articulate what you're trying to get across to those players. Don't make it more complex than it needs to be, keep it simple where they can play fast, know what to do & make it interactive, make it fun."

“If you can throw for 500 yards on somebody, you’re probably going to win the game. But if you can run for 500, you’re guaranteed to win the game and it takes their soul.”

🎯‼️
Growth starts the moment your ego leaves the room.
The best leaders, coaches, and teachers don’t run from correction. They accept assessment, apply feedback, and improve. Pride blocks progress. Accountability builds excellence.
