Appreciate the @GeorgetownWBB staff for allowing me to watch their practice today - few takeaways that really stood out: 🏀 Engaged assistant coaches. Loved how involved they were in teaching, breaking down concepts, providing feedback, and helping players understand the WHY. 🏀 Coachable players. Asking questions, soaking up information, receiving feedback, and most importantly, making the corrections. 🏀 Details matter. Loved how @CoachDHaney & @coach_camille emphasized execution and accountability in every drill & set 🏀 Know your role. Embrace your role. @CoachDHaney stopped practice to remind each player of their identity and what the team needs from them. His analogy was perfect: The engine of a car can’t do what the windshield wipers do but every part has a purpose & is needed- no role is too big or too small. That last one really resonated with me. A team is like a puzzle. Every piece matters, every role matters, and the picture is never complete unless everyone buys in. Definitely some lessons (and drills) I’ll be taking back to my own teams this season!! #Together
