Do it with doubt & uncertainty, do it with fear ..if you don't jump , eventually you might be pushed ! #GrowthMindset #LeadAnyway

💭 THOUGHT OF THE DAY: CONTROL YOUR RESPONSE You can’t control every situation, but you can control how you respond. Life will bring setbacks, disappointments, and unexpected challenges. What separates you from the crowd isn’t the mistakes you make, it’s the mindset you maintain when things don’t go your way. Don’t let frustration dictate your future. Stay composed, learn the lesson, adjust your approach, and keep moving forward. Your reaction reveals your character. Your resilience defines your comeback. Your mindset determines how far you go. 🙏🏾 Remember: You may not control what happens to you, but you always have a choice in how you respond. #ThoughtOfTheDay #MindsetMatters #Resilience #KeepMovingForward #WeGetTo

Leadership is not about being liked by everyone; it is about doing what is right, even when it is unpopular. A wolf walks with purpose, strength, and conviction. You will not always be understood, appreciated, or celebrated for the decisions you make. But never allow the opinions of others to cause you to abandon your values. Stay true to who you are. Protect your character. Stand on your principles. Let your work speak, your actions demonstrate your integrity, and God direct your steps. I’d rather be respected for my honesty than accepted for my compromise. Integrity above everything. #Leadership #Integrity #Character #FaithOverFear #LeadWithPurpose

Thought of the Day You don’t get the best out of people by demanding it. You get it by building the kind of environment where their best feels safe to give. People don’t perform for someone who’s watching for mistakes. They perform for someone who’s invested in their growth. The moment your team knows you see their potential, not just their output, is the moment they stop protecting themselves and start showing up fully. So lead with belief before you lead with expectation. Catch people doing it right, not just doing it wrong. Give them ownership, not just orders. And remember: your standard becomes their standard. If you want excellence, you have to model it daily, not just demand it occasionally. Great leaders don’t extract greatness from people. They create the conditions where greatness has no choice but to show up.

Psalm 34:19 says it plain: “The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.” Not one trouble. Many. Scripture doesn’t promise the righteous a quiet life. It promises a faithful God in the middle of a loud one. I think about that every time I think back to a Section 8 apartment and a single parent doing the work of two. Latchkey kid. Football was the outlet because it had to be. Three torn ACLs later, a speech impediment I had to learn to push through before I ever called a play at Louisiana Tech. None of that was the absence of trouble. It was trouble, repeated, and deliverance, repeated right alongside it. That’s the part we skip when we want the highlight reel without the history. David wrote this verse on the run, hiding from a king who wanted him dead. He wasn’t reflecting from a place of comfort. He was testifying from inside the fire. Be reminded: trouble showing up again is not proof that you’re doing something wrong. It might be proof you’re doing something right, that you’re in the arena instead of the stands. The question was never “will trouble come.” The question is whether you’ll still be standing in it, trusting that the same God who delivered before is still in the business of delivering. Chop the wood. Carry the water. Let Him handle the rest.

Why didn't Isaiah Evans transfer from Duke after last season after averaging only 6.8 ppg while only playing 13.7 mpg? It's a mindset he was taught from his mother Marieke Lémon back in 9th grade. Here's a look into what Evans was taught about adversity & accountability. @WRAL

Servant leadership isn’t easy. You’ll face pressure from people who only care about your record, parents who think they know the answer, and athletes who test whether you mean what you say. There are moments when you must make unpopular decisions for the good of the team.
