Never give up on a student. I've seen too many comebacks. So many... I don't remember them all. Kids change... from kids to young adults. Guide them. Love them. Hold them accountable. And never stop believing in them.

Just because it worked last year doesn't mean it's right for this team. Wartburg College's @winterc22 challenges coaches to evaluate their own preparation, recognize the differences in each roster, and adjust their approach to the players they have today. Great coaching means being willing to change.

Stumbled upon Aiden Flora's Hudl tape from his senior year at ADM. I shouldn't be surprised, but I forgot how ridiculous it was.

When the game is on the line. Are you thinking plays or players? One of Nick Saban’s first coaching lessons: “When you’re in a critical situation in a game, don’t think of plays; think of players.” Your best play starts with knowing who you’re asking to make it. 🔥

Maximizing the talent on your roster should be the goal of every coach.
The best Coaches in the country are taking a 2-8 roster and going 5-5 or 6-4, and no one is giving them the recognition for it! Just know that others and I know that you're doing more with less!!

Nick Saban asked his team a simple question: “Do we have show dogs on the team, or do we have hunting dogs?” Show dogs want to be seen. Hunting dogs want to win. The answer tells you everything about your culture. 🏆

Yes, it’s your job as a playcaller to figure it out! Be a problem solver and figure it out!
“If you stop anything in this league, there’s something else open - always.” - Kyle Shanahan, The Playcallers podcast True at any level of football. If you don’t have an answer for how the defense stops you that your players can execute, that’s bad coaching.

A lot of athletes confuse compliance with coachability. Making eye contact, nodding, and saying “Yes, Coach” doesn't make you coachable. That's listening. Coachability isn't measured by how well you receive correction. It's measured by what changes because of it.

Leadership isn’t avoiding blame. It’s accepting responsibility. Before you correct the player, correct the process. What did we miss? What wasn’t clear? What could we have prepared better? Accountability begins with ownership.

Some idiot online “If your coach runs the wing t your at a disadvantage and will never play in college” Meanwhile power 4 and the NFL run it weekly 😂😂😂
“Wing-T doesn’t work at the P4 level” “It’s a middle school offense” I’m sure I’m missing a few, but… it does work at the P4 level
