The Hoos have certainly made a statement in this 2028 class. Coach Pollard gets another athletic positional player from Team VA/DC.
This one checks a lot of boxes. Has some of the best feel to hit of any VA/DC player in any class.
Congrats, Brandon.
💥 #PBFG26 Commitment Alert 💥

🚨College Recruiting🚨
One thing I wish every HS player understood about recruiting:
‼️Your goal isn’t to collect OFFERS‼️
✅Your goal is to find the right OPPORTUNITY
Where can you play?
Where can you develop?
Does the staff believe in you?
Does the school fit you?
What does the roster look like?
The biggest name isn’t always the best decision.

Player A is better than Player B as high school seniors.
Player A signs at a D1 school.
Player B signs at a juco.
Player A sits the bench as a D1 freshmen.
Player B is a juco starter for the fall and spring season.
Player B now signs at the same D1 school that player A is at and plays over him.
or
Player B signs at a D1 school and Player A circles back to juco to catch up on playing time.
This is more common than most realize.
Nothing replaces game experience.
Go where you have the highest perfect chance to play as a freshman.
Go where you are wanted and needed.

The job of a coach.
“My job is to always be opposite at the moment.”
Calm when chaos comes.
Confident when doubt creeps in.
Demanding when standards slip.
Encouraging when confidence drops.
Patient when frustration grows.
Give your team what the moment needs.

If you’re a 2027 and not committed, don’t panic—but maybe adjust your goals. Stop overlooking schools you think you’re “too good” for. Find a coach who wants you, a place you can play, and a financial package that makes sense. Finding the right fit matters most.

I can’t stress this enough: stop worrying about the level—D1, D2, D3, NAIA, JUCO all great options!
Find coaches you connect with, the best financial package, and a place you’ll actually play.
I’ve seen too many players commit D1, only to be in the portal a year later.

Marcus Freeman said what most coaches won't.
"I'm not here to be your friend. I'm here to push you, challenge you, help you be successful."
Friendship feels good.
Coaching builds someone who can handle it.
You can be both. Just not at the same time.

Due to recruits backing out at last minute, we are looking to add players to our roster for Fall 26 season! Looking for guys ready to make an immediate impact on the field this year for the Mustangs! Looking for arms mainly! Let me know if you’re ready to join the Mustang family!

Travel baseball often misses the mark.
The goal isn't to be the best 13-year-old. It's to be the best 18-year-old.
But if 13- and 14-year-olds are playing 120+ games a year, when do they have time to build the strength, speed, power, and athleticism that separates players later on?
Competition reveals ability.
Training develops it.
If we're always competing, when are we developing?
