Osi Umenyiora reveals how the Giants exposed “the greatest quarterback ever, supposedly,” Tom Brady, by decoding his snap count before Super Bowl XLII
Umenyiora says he noticed Brady pointing at a specific defender before signaling the center to snap the ball. After studying game footage for a week, he became convinced the pattern was consistent and shared his discovery with the entire Giants defense. That preparation gave New York’s defensive line a crucial advantage, helping them sack Brady five times and hit him around 20 times in the upset victory over the previously undefeated Patriots. Umenyiora says the Giants entered the game believing they could win because they had uncovered something their opponents did not know they had figured out.

Lou Williams reveals to Allen Iverson that the Sixers front office benched him while averaging 20+ points, leading Iverson to reflect on how his pride and ego ultimately pushed him out of the league.
Iverson: "And I think I committed professional suicide by letting it be known that I had a problem with coming off the bench."
Iverson: "And that was my ego, that was my pride. You know what I mean? My whole life I've never, that wasn't my thing."
Lou: "They pulled me in the office and was like, look, AI going to start because we feel like in Philly he should start...and we going to have you come off the bench. I was averaging 20 plus points a game at that time."
Iverson: "So I started coming off the bench when he came back out of love and respect for him, and I never got a shot again after that."

🚨 BREAKING: RICH PAUL TELLS ESPN’S DAVE MCMENAMIN AT HALFTIME OF 76ERS-CAVALIERS THAT VJ EDGECOMBE ISN’T A FIT IF PHILADELPHIA WANTS TO MAXIMIZE LEBRON’S WINDOW
Rich Paul reportedly told ESPN’s Dave McMenamin at halftime of the 76ers vs. Cavaliers game that VJ Edgecombe may not be the right fit if Philadelphia wants to maximize LeBron James’ championship window.
🗣️ Rich Paul allegedly told ESPN:
“If Philadelphia is serious about maximizing LeBron’s window, they have to be honest about the pieces around him. VJ Edgecombe had 9 points on poor shooting against New York, and now he has 3 points on poor shooting at halftime of the home opener. They need players who can complement LeBron and contribute right now. The timeline matters.”
Edgecombe struggled in the season-opening win over the Knicks, and his slow start against Cleveland is raising questions about his fit.
👀 Is Edgecombe the right piece for Philadelphia, or should the Sixers prioritize proven veterans around LeBron?
