Transactional Thinking is in a way that says “What Can I Get?” while Relational Thinking is more about “What Can I Give?” - Focus on the relationship today (and every day).

PARENTS of Athletes:
Make sure your child knows…
- Your relationship is not centered on playing time
- Your relationship is not centered on performance
- You support them no matter what
- You love them no matter what
After they play, simply say:
”I love watching you play”

The difference between interested & invested players shows in the summer. Interested players need perfect circumstances(too hot/cold, no music, too busy). Invested players just need a place to work & get better (gym, track, weight room) & they do. How do you use your off-season?!

Phil Rison…”Athletics are the #1 drop out prevention program in schools.” I’ll add fine arts to that, & you can’t begin to measure the impact those connections make on students. It gives many of our at-risk kids the “want to” to engage in school. @FineArtsHCS @AthleticsHenry – at Georgia, USA

Why are u so concerned about what folks say about u? Are u afraid that the things they say are all lies or alot of Truth. You do know your critics has critics so how could u possibly allow them to define u. Be who God called u to be & don't concern yourself with peoples perception & misconception of u. #CoachPrime

Athletics exist on the "front porch" of the American high school. As a result, the athletic administrator is a highly visible leader in his or her school, and after 3:00pm each day, is usually the ranking school leader on campus. #ChatWithREMS

You're not going to make it if you need to be motivated or need some big motivational speech daily. You need discipline!!! Why? Because, most days you're not going to feel like doing the work. Get up and do it anyway. If you want to be the best, you have to be disciplined!

Yep.
Is the NCHSAA always perfect or always get it right?! No. Nobody is.
But that doesn’t mean the kids have to be the ones to pay the price because of a group of people in power want focus more on a petty fight w/ NCHSAA than bigger issues at hand.
