Coming from the Division II ranks to North Alabama in 2024 proved to be a championship decision for Taye Fields. Two years later, the former Lion standout is neighbors with LeBron James in an NBA locker room. Read his story ⬇️ roarlions.com/news/2026/10/2…

.@UNA_Basketball just went on its annual retreat, and with 12 new faces, it may have been more important now than ever. “The impact that it has to be under the same roof and just honestly have those conversations that you wouldn’t typically have ... it creates those deep bonds,” assistant coach Will Soucie said. timesdaily.com/sports/huntin…

Our hearts are heavy this morning as we mourn the passing of former UNA Tennis student-athlete, head coach and Hall of Famer, Brice Bishop. Coach Bishop’s connection to North Alabama spanned generations. After representing the Lions as a student-athlete, he returned to serve his alma mater as head coach on three different occasions, leaving a lasting impact on UNA Tennis and the countless student-athletes he coached and mentored along the way. We extend our deepest condolences to Coach Bishop’s family, friends, former players and all whose lives he touched. Forever a Lion 💜
