A year ago, Cam Thomas looked like one of Brooklyn's building blocks for the future 😤 After averaging 22 points per game in back-to-back seasons, the Nets reportedly offered him two contracts: a two-year, $30 million deal with a team option in the second year and a one-year, $9.5 million contract. Thomas rejected both offers, chose to bet on himself, and didn't make a counteroffer. The gamble never paid off. He was later waived by both the Nets and the Bucks, and has been without a team since March. It's a stunning turn of events for a player who, not long ago, was viewed as a potential franchise cornerstone. The NBA moves fast. One decision can completely change the trajectory of a career 🤷‍♂️
