An excellent bio on the 🐐 —
A masterclass in leadership. #MustRead
The only 4th-string QB on an active NFL roster in 2000, Brady begged scout-team guys to stay after practice in the shivering dark just to throw into the quiet cold.
“Tom might be the worst athlete to ever play in the NFL,” teammate Niko Koutouvides recalled. Deprived of raw physical gifts, Brady built an empire on 50 hours a week of film study.
“He had a book in his mind on these guys,” a teammate said of Tom’s high school scouting of opposing batters. Drafted by the MLB as a catcher, his cold focus was already obvious.

The Minnesota Vikings’ defensive coordinator, Brian Flores, is a disruptor, taking on the entire NFL.
Flores, who carries an established reputation as an exacting disciplinarian, has empowered his players to do the heavy lifting. It's what makes Minnesota's defense so impactful.

Humility is always one air bike workout away
I'm going to keep saying this all of 2026:
The consistently cheapest full-body cardio machine you can buy is the air bike; EVERYONE could benefit from owning one.
New, I found this one for $500. But, the real trick is to buying used Schwinn Airdynes for $25 on FB Marketplace.
They're practically bomb-proof, can be used for LISS or HIIT and take up hardly any space.
You can use them with just your legs, just your arms, or both together. There are few conditioning tools as versatile, cheap, and effective as the almighty air bike.
Get you one.

Exclusive from @TheAthletic: Mike Tyson’s story is no fairy tale. The boxer, now 60, once reveled in his nickname, “the Baddest Man on the Planet,” but is now more inclined to care for his beloved pigeons. Yet, he doesn't regret his turbulent past. nyti.ms/3VNaaJY
Great questions & great answers
Hands down one of the best exchanges between reporters and an NFL head coach I’ve ever seen, featuring Titans HC Robert Saleh and the local media.
What started as a simple question about the complexities of Saleh’s zone defense and why there might be some early growing pains turned into nearly seven minutes of incredible insight.
Saleh explains why the system takes time to learn but can eventually produce top-five defenses. He breaks down how players learn to attack offenses by understanding what they’re trying to do to them, rather than simply dropping to a spot and defending grass.
He also dives into the evolution of his defensive philosophy, drawing from his experiences around Pete Carroll’s Cover 3/Legion of Boom system, Vic Fangio, Monte Kiffin and others. He discusses the key positions that make the system work, his overall philosophy on defense and so much more.
I’ve heard DeMeco Ryans speak glowingly about Robert Saleh, how brilliant he is and how instrumental he was in DeMeco’s development as a coach. But I don’t think I fully appreciated what he meant until watching this.
Just an incredibly bright defensive mind.
And what makes this especially fascinating from a Texans perspective is that DeMeco is essentially building and running a variation of that same defensive philosophy, with some of his own wrinkles.
It’s particularly relevant right now given Houston’s struggles with defensive communication and executing its coverage rules. Saleh provides some excellent perspective on why these systems can be so difficult to master, how players eventually develop a deeper understanding of what offenses are attacking, and why that understanding allows them to play faster and more aggressively.
Must watch.
