Bigger than football. Bigger than coaching.
This is a lifestyle. This is family. ๐ค๐๐๐ฟ

Young coaches:
You donโt have to know everything.
Ask questions.
Take notes.
Watch film.
Steal good ideas.
Admit when youโre wrong.
Keep learning.
Your ego will slow your growth faster than your lack of knowledge ever will.
Stay teachable. โ๏ธ

Love what Mike McCarthy said post game yesterday. โIf itโs not clean on offense you cut the volume down.โ Too many plays can make it more challenging to execute them. Rich Rod also had a great quote related to this. โItโs not what you call, itโs what you can execute.โ

Dart is one of the most underrated run schemes!

The sled is the most overrated tool in offensive line coaching, and inside zone is the most over-relied on run concept. The sled doesnโt teach timing, reaction, or adjustment, and inside zone shouldnโt be your entire offensive identity. Coaches are comfortable with IZ. Expand!!!

Line up in gate. Instead of shifting to kick, shift to unbalanced and run duo with your best dude.

๐OL coaches are the mushrooms of football.
Kept in the dark. Fed garbage. Expected to flourish anyway.
For 40+ years, that identity has united the best offensive line coaches in the game.
Today, that tradition continues โ rebuilt for the modern coach.

Whatโs your biggest pet peeve as a Coach?
Mine is when coaches just write a kid off and say, โthis kid sucks, or theyโre lazy, or he canโt play.โ ๐
How about you do your jobโฆ & COACH them!!!

Never trust an "OC" who doesnt put a protection with a pass concept. Also, never trust an "OC" who's coaching point to the OL is "just block him"
