I just don’t think an Aaron Glenn coached football team sitting at 2-5 through 7 weeks can be looked at as a competitive team.
I sympathize with jets fans I really do.
Your GM has set this football team up with the opportunity to finally build a sustainable winner. But what is the best approach?
Personally I would be trading breece hall and starting Braelon Allen.
I would trade Garrett Wilson.
I would confirm the number one pick on my franchise QB.
And I would replenish the roster with cost controlled young talent and supplement in free agency.

Traded what would be the WR1 on this team, Kenyon Saadiq and a Top 10 pick in 2027 for a 27 year old DB who is allowing a passer rating of 106.7 when targeted.
The Sauce Gardner trade Will go down as an all time bad trade.
But the colts 25-26 offseason should be looked at even more. Michael Pittman shipped out, Daniel jones paid, and drafted CJ Allen who has been a healthy scratch most weeks.

From a historical perspective draft classes average 12-15 true first round prospect graded by NFL talent evaluators. Problem is there are 32 teams with 32 picks.
This is the first class since 2023 that has at lease 20, which reflect the unwillingness of teams to part with 2027 firsts.

LB Demarvion Overshown has been all over the field and looks healthy.
His last healthy season in 2024 he looked like a top 10 inside linebacker.
Will be huge for the #DallasCowboys going forward if they get this level of play from him going forward

It’s often said it’s about the Jimmie’s and joes and not the X’s & O’s
But good coaching in the nfl is what
sets the floor for a great football team.
Great teams have both.
Bad teams it’s one or the other.
The most frustrating teams, are win they clearly have talent, clearly have good football players at key positions, but it’s coaching that holds the team back.
The 2026 #DallasCowboys are a case study on this.

Supposedly two first round quarterback are ducking it out in a high profile SEC Matchup on ABC.
And the only thing I did was tune into a 57 point outing by the kid in Stillwater.
Simply put there might not be one franchise level quarterback in the 2027 NFL draft that even declares.

Anthony Richardson Arrest Thoughts:
Call me whatever you want I get it’s 2026, and weed is viewed at similarly as alcohol.
It’s just simply not a good look being a former Top 5 pick who is benched fighting for your career in the National Football league being pulled over and charged with possession.
Just isn’t and you can’t convince me otherwise.
Secondly it’s a look into why the Colts pulled the plug on the situation so early and established a pattern of behavior privately that we’ve seen publicly.

Brian Thomas Jr is the most obvious trade candidate ever….the question is where and at what price?
A few places make sense:
The #49ers are decimated at the position and yet sit at 6-0 and first in the NFC. This is the type of but low move that Super Bowl teams make.
The #Commanders just lost franchise stalwart Scary Terry to injury for the year and might be ready to look towards the future at the position. This would also reunite BTJ with his college quarterback #JD5
Lastly, the #Chiefskingdom makes all of the sense in the world. Imagine that offense with a true threat on the outside. Would be nightmare fuel.
But will James Gladstone and Liam Coen part with an underperforming yet uber talented player when they are 4-2?
