Prospects: Stop tagging coaches. It shows desperation. Post your highlights and then send it in DM to coaches. It’s annoying to get tagged along with 50 other coaches believe me. It matters.

FRIDAY NIGHT. LIGHTS ON. GAME DAY AT EAST.
All the work. All the reps. All the preparation.
Tonight, we find out who stands when the pressure hits.
2,600 years ago, a king told an entire nation to bow.
Everybody did.
Except three.
Shadrach. Meshach. Abednego.
They didn’t stand because they knew it would work out.
They stood because it was RIGHT.
That’s leadership.
The crowd bows. Leaders stand.
Turns out our guys didn’t invent “stand on business.”
Daniel 3 beat them to it by about 2,600 years.
TONIGHT, EAST HIGH STANDS ON BUSINESS. 🏈

East High kicked off our first leadership training today.
We talked about what it means to run to the roar—to chase the lion, face hard things head-on, and do what’s right even when the crowd goes the other way.
We’re not just building better football players.
We’re building men who lead.
When the lion roars, East High doesn’t run away. We run at it.

Louisiana Tech head football coach Sonny Cumbie has learned firsthand that more hours don't always lead to better leadership.
"At the end of the day, when my brain is done, I'm going home, and the problems that are here will still be here tomorrow. I'll serve our team better with a fresh mind and being well rested."
The longer I've worked with coaches and leaders, the more I've realized that the goal isn't to squeeze every ounce of energy out of yourself in the service of others.
It's to sustainably show up at your best so your people (and you) benefit in the process.
Sometimes the most productive thing a leader can do is go home, recover, and come back tomorrow ready to think clearly and serve others well.

I will die on this hill. I will argue till I’m blue in the face. I will produce the data.
Participation in youth sports/activities is as important as many of the classes my kids take at school. Maybe more important.
