I’ve been thinking a lot about what’s coming out of Cornell. And as a husband, a father, a coach, and a man who has spent a lot of his life around young men, I think there’s something that needs to be said. Being a REAL MAN has absolutely nothing to do with how many women you can get. It has nothing to do with being the toughest guy in the room, how much you can drink, who you can impress, or what your boys think of you. A real man understands one simple thing: A woman’s vulnerability is NEVER an opportunity. If she’s drunk, impaired, scared, confused, unconscious, or unable to clearly make a decision — you don’t take advantage of that situation. You protect her. And if you see another man crossing that line? You don’t laugh. You don’t film it. You don’t encourage it. You don’t stay quiet because he’s your friend. You step in. That’s strength. We spend a lot of time teaching boys how to compete. How to be tough. How to win. How to fight through adversity. Maybe we need to spend just as much time teaching them what character looks like when nobody is keeping score. Teach your sons that consent matters. Teach them that women are human beings, not trophies, stories, conquests, or entertainment for a group chat. Teach them that sometimes being a man means being the one person in the room willing to say: “No. This isn’t happening.” And teach our daughters that they deserve to be surrounded by men who respect their boundaries whether anyone else is watching or not. I don’t know what the criminal investigation at Cornell will ultimately determine. But I know what kind of men I want us raising. Men with courage. Men with discipline. Men with empathy. Men who protect rather than prey. Men whose definition of masculinity includes respect, accountability, and doing the right thing when doing the wrong thing would be easier. That’s the standard. That’s strength. That’s a REAL MAN. I’m raising 2 REAL MEN!! I challenge ALL fathers to raise REAL MEN! #RealMenStepIn
