People really and truly underestimate the daily toll that it takes to be successful. It’s easy to say you want it, but to show up day after day is what separates people.
When you lose- learn & grow.
When you win- learn & grow.
The result that you don’t control shouldn’t affect the work that you can control.
Do it tired. Do it frustrated. Do it when you’re filled with doubt. Do it when you don’t want to. Do it when you’re not sure you can. Do it when it’s inconvenient. Do it however it needs to get done.
But do it.

Before you tell a player he needs to get better, be ready to tell him how. Give him something specific he can work on when he walks into the gym tomorrow.
Move the needle. Change the temperature. Make a difference.
Don’t leave the room the same way you found it
The ability to show up every day and work to get better is a massive blessing. Never forget to appreciate that.
Things aren’t nearly as hard as we like to make them. Show up. Do the work. Evaluate it, then do it better the next time. And then do it again.
You’ll be amazed at the results… if you do the work.

For decades, October 15th marked the official start of college basketball practice, it was a day everyone looked forward to. Some teams celebrated with Midnight Madness, while others kicked things off with early-morning breakfast and practice.
If you’ve coached or played it’s a date you’re unlikely to forget. #collegebasketvall
