CV ended the regular season with a monster win over Arcadia to keep the playoff hopes alive. 6-4 overall record. Love these guys! Old Goss is looking down and proud of how these kids competed through the whole season. COMPETE, COMPETE, COMPETE!

It should be noted that one guy who deserves a good guy award is Tanner Farwell. He’s the head football coach at Glendale College. He’s also a professor at the school and he somehow finds time to also run the defense at Crescenta Valley, his alma mater. Why can’t every town have more people like him?

The Muir home field situation is wild. They are not playing home games while their field is under renovation.
But does every game, including league games, have to be at the opposing school?
When Muir has designated league home games, why not play at Pasadena HS? It's in the @PasadenaUnified district. PHS isn't using it because they dropped varsity. Add the bleachers, problem solved.
Why not Pasadena City College? They should be welcoming hosts.
Why not use nearby venues. I'm sure there are good hosts out there like St. Francis, La Canada, La Salle, Maranatha, etc.
When they get to the playoffs, the plan for now is if they get a home game, they will likely give it up.
That's absurd.
Imagine if Muir gets a home game against a Riverside area team, or anything hours of traffic away. You just going to make that trip when it's YOUR home game.
Absurd.
They need to do what high school teams have done for generations, find a nearby school that can host.
Better for players. Better for fans. Better for the community.
This isn't hard. No excuses.

Completely agree with you. There should be a bylaw added in the league constitution if agreed by the principals for a fine.
First 2 years for me was free…how could I ask for money without proving that I could contribute to the staff?

I’m in year 11.
I’ve only been “paid” for 6 of those. My first 5 years, I coached for free.
So when I see 1st-year coaches complaining about not getting paid, I can’t help but think about where this profession started for a lot of us, purely passion and wanting to learn!

Crescenta Valley QB Julian Savery (Sr.) lowering the shoulder while picking up the first down against Palmdale Knight. Savery missed all of his Jr year with an ACL tear….pretty sure that knee is feeling just fine

Saddest news I’ve heard in a while. This man loved his family more than anything. I had the pleasure to be right beside him for his youngest daughter’s senior year of softball, and he is so proud of everything she has and will accomplish. RIP Niko, may God bless you and your fam
