TABC Live Event Preview: Lubbock Liberty On this episode of TA-B-Seen, we preview Lubbock Liberty and take a closer look at what Coach Parker Hicks and the Patriots bring to the table heading into TABC Live. “Just a tremendous coach.” Coach Parker Hicks has wasted no time building one of West Texas’ fastest-rising programs. In just three seasons, Lubbock Liberty has established a winning culture, compiling a 70-30 record, including a 30-5 campaign last year that ended with a Regional Finals appearance. With a veteran core returning, the Patriots look ready to make another deep postseason run. Leading the way is 6’5” wing Jackson Funk, a four-year starter who stretches the floor at a high level, rebounds his position, and continues to attract Division II interest. Running the offense is 6’1” 2027 guard Pierce Fioroni, a high-motor playmaker who averaged nearly 14 points and eight assists per game while creating opportunities for everyone around him. In the paint, 6’7” Coleman Hendrix brings physicality and toughness as a double-double threat, while 6’2” Cy Leach provides versatility as the ultimate glue guy, impacting the game in every phase. With proven production, experienced leadership, and a coach who knows how to build winners, Lubbock Liberty is a program college coaches should have firmly on their radar.
