Thanks to Positive News magazine for this piece spotlighting brave women land defenders from Cambodia, who are fighting to protect the last freshwater pond in their fishing community from being filled in and sold for development.
"It is rare to find collectively owned land with such rich natural resources," said Chan Kimcheng, one of the women campaigning tirelessly to defend the area. "We must protect this place for future generations."
