While InfoFi is ongoing & When InfoFi ends I examined the InfoFi data of many projects (Kaito, Wallchain, Cookie, etc.); as expected, the data is very poor and unsustainable. When InfoFi first became a trend, its goal was for projects to gain more exposure before TGE and use InfoFi data to secure listings on major CEXs more easily. This continued for a while. However, people abused this by creating hundreds of bot accounts and sharing the same content hundreds of times. Some projects distributed awful Airdrops. This caused the trend to slowly die out, and major CEXs stopped relying on this data for listings. In fact, projects running InfoFi campaigns started achieving the opposite of exposure; instead of becoming better known, they became invisible as people tuned them out. You might share 1 post about a project every 2-3 days at most, but farmers and bot accounts kept sharing the same post 2-3 times a day in different variations just to climb the leaderboard. This resulted in people muting both the project and the farmers. Currently, about 2-3k accounts (probably managed by only 20-30 people) continue to share the same projects among themselves and farm engagement with each other. So, was I active in InfoFi projects? Yes, I was, but here is why and what I did: ▫️ I actively created content for @River4fun. When I first shared @RiverdotInc, nobody knew about it yet. Why did I create content? I invested in River in the early stages, and I didn't just create content; I actively used the platform. I will continue creating content for River, not for rewards, but to support their incredibly hardworking team. ▫️ I created content for @avantisfi because I am an OG Avantis user and still use it today. Since I was an early user, I didn't want to abandon it. I'm happy to see people are still very interested in Avantis. ▫️ @anoma (unfortunately), since it is a major project and I had created content about it early on, I regrettably participated in the Anoma InfoFi campaign. To sum up; ▫️ My advice to people and projects active in InfoFi: stay away from AI content and produce balanced content ▫️ Additionally, all InfoFi projects should focus on on-chain data like @wallchain does and filter for real users. No one who doesn't use the project or know about it should receive rewards. ▫️ Projects should impose limits on daily post sharing ▫️ Social Farming comments, etc., should not carry weight. If necessary, every project should require KYC before starting a campaign and mandate product usage before allowing content creation
